Whenever I delete a name I don't recognise, I realise later it was a dummy entry for my credit card pin number, the work safe combination number etc.

I have an indefinite retention policy for restaurants. I like the idea that if I am ever back home visiting I will be able to phone in an order without problems. Similarly I like the idea of being able to provide useful phone numbers to people who will be traveling to any area in which I have lived.

Phone numbers for bookshops also tend to come in handy long after you think they've outlived their usefulness.
