deej, Tuesday, 5 August 2008 17:23 (seventeen years ago)

http://www.shreddedmoose.com/reviews/tombraiderlegend/

First off, I’d like to discuss Lara’s tits in that they’re still huge, most definitely D-cups, but they’re nice D-cups. Ever since the original Tomb Raider she’s been hoisting around a pair of cumbersome E-cups; but now in Legend her jugs seem much more manageable and I would like to imagine that they don’t impair her sense of balance, at least not too much. Also Lara’s finally looking hot; at least as far as pixelated phillies go. Throughout the game she looks fine as hell and is always outfitted in some tight-bodied, sexy-yet-functional outfit; as should be the case for all female archaeologists in the real world.

and what, Tuesday, 5 August 2008 17:25 (seventeen years ago)

Graphics – If you can will yourself to focus on something other then her melons, there’s a lot of visuals to admire.

“Sweat as fucking hell,” is a very good description of how Legend comes across visually. There are no CG sequences, however cut-scene and in-game footage are indistinguishable from one another… fuck that’s a long word. “In-dis-tin-guish-a-ble,” six god-damn syllables, fuckin-A! Anyway, the game looks really good; actually it’s beyond good. The attention to detail of the environments is absolutely amazing! Smoke effects, fire, flying debris, water - *especially* water – is all rendered and animated beautifully and looks tight as hell. Environmental modeling and textures provide you with extremely beautiful and varied environments to travel through.

and what, Tuesday, 5 August 2008 17:25 (seventeen years ago)

I thought that said Space Moose, and then I thought it was 1997 again.

burt_stanton, Tuesday, 5 August 2008 17:25 (seventeen years ago)

ugh I went to that site and read some more of the comics, and apparently there's some kind of story arc going on now where a girl (variously referred to as "psycho tits" and "dragon cunt", among other things) decides to take revenge on Brown-Haired Douchebag (not sure why, don't particularly care to find out) by slipping him a mickey, sodomizing him with an enormous black dildo, and blackmailing him into environmental activism

gonna go with "has never talked to a girl", plus a healthy dose of castration anxiety

so is the phrase "shredded moose" a reference to something like Buffy or anime, or is it just standard issue website name nonsense?

some dude, Tuesday, 5 August 2008 17:28 (seventeen years ago)

“Sweat as fucking hell,”

deej, Tuesday, 5 August 2008 17:28 (seventeen years ago)

Gameplay – Smooth and silky is how I’d describe Lara’s jugs... I mean the gameplay, not her jugs… really.

"it's like a... bag of sand"

We like that whole "kickin' ass" sort of thing. It's about time someone does it, we can only let the idiots of the world go unpunished for so long Smile But that's not the only thing SM's about however all the violence is justified - it may be justified by a twisted sense of logic but it's "justified' nonetheless. It's more about making comedy we enjoy, inane humor, violence, un-political correctness, sex... they're all a means to an end. Very Happy

and what, Tuesday, 5 August 2008 17:33 (seventeen years ago)

OK a first year cinema studies round table discussion, then.

Trayce, Thursday, 7 August 2008 00:15 (seventeen years ago)

Dont get me wrong, I'm not knocking whats being said, I just find it amusing where the thread went.

Trayce, Thursday, 7 August 2008 00:15 (seventeen years ago)

I like to think the SM creator is reading this thread, laughing at the fact it has turned into a first year cinema studies dissertation, and laughing his head off and thinking we're a bunch of douchebags.

I don't think he's that sophisticated. Honestly, his stuff doesn't read like gorilla troll webcomicing. It reads like someone who thinks his stuff is actually funny and if people don't get it, they are probably P.C. assholes.

Mordy, Thursday, 7 August 2008 00:16 (seventeen years ago)

That I agree with. Shit, I *know* people like that.

Trayce, Thursday, 7 August 2008 00:19 (seventeen years ago)

So after slogging through this thread I've reached a conclusion...

Shredded Moose :: Fark
XKCD :: Boing Boing

Elvis Telecom, Thursday, 7 August 2008 00:27 (seventeen years ago)

One fifth of my final paper (i.e. my whole degree) was a paper on tragedy. The emphasis was to be on Shakespearian and Ancient Greek tragedy. My entire answer was on a single question ("To what extent does tragedy negate poetic justice?"), and it was around 8 sides long. One whole side of this answer was spent discussing Irreversible. Just sayin', Trayce ain't far from the truth!

robert crumb's art is so grubby and particularist it's pretty clear it's one man's ugly take on the world. this shit, and the godawful penny arcade too, all look like characters that would be rollerblading on the back of a cereal box in 1997. crumb's art is so exuberant it doesn't care if it's alone and disliked, all these suckass webcomics are so graspy and desperate for approval, it is a "community voice," god help us

xps oh jesus christ
