i've never seen this and it's kind of frightening

i generally combine the ha's? which i feel works for me. but i like lol a lot. sometimes, if i write lol and i haven't actually lolled, i'll make myself lol.

I don't do Ha!Ha!ha!. I dislike using exclamation marks. Mainly because I fear people will think I'm crazy. Y'know, this bug eyed crazy loon who keeps laughing at her own silly jokes sitting behind her comp . Which is probably what I am in real life, but, well,... I tend to mix'em up though when it's in English. When I type in Dutch, I tend to go for hahah. Feel stupid doing it but if I don't half the time people think I'm being serious.

Oops. I do this sometimes. I hope I haven't been inadvertently scaring people. I also generally combine the "ha"s as punctuating each one takes a bit more time.

Usually "haha" - a good bit of my online communication is IMing with people who are actually IN my office, and I feel like someone's going to call me out on not actually lolling if I type "lol." This is of course ridiculous, and most everyone else uses "lol."

I like doing the hahahah, random number of syllables but ALWAYS STARTING AND ENDING ON AN H! it looks the most sincere out of all of the ways to convey lulz on the internet. I generally save "lol" for when I am talking to people who also use it. Or when I am making fun of people who say it. Or both.

I hardly ever use the single ha - sounds too contemptuous. Heh sounds more genuine for kind of amusing but not hilarious.

I like that moley said heh is my thing: tbh I type it because thats how I say it! I just sort of go "heh" quite often.

fwiw i always thought of lol as "lots of/o' laughs" which is even pleasanter and lamer to my ears. i do my best to keep it this way (see: "on the mark")
