Whacked all his TV work (which heave-ho'd his Murder One stint -- go ahead & bitch, all two of you), and his "Solder #3 stints" on some flicks. But hey Monkey Shines!!!!!

David R., Monday, 25 August 2008 16:50 (seventeen years ago)

OK so can some mod move this to ILE because I'm a dummy thx! :D

David R., Monday, 25 August 2008 16:52 (seventeen years ago)

He was terrific in The Devil Wears Prada, but Big Night remains touching.

Joe Gould's Secret is worth renting. Excellent Ian Holm perf.

Alfred, Lord Sotosyn, Monday, 25 August 2008 16:55 (seventeen years ago)

i for one think he is just awesome

goole, Monday, 25 August 2008 17:02 (seventeen years ago)

I have a serious soft spot for his Campbell Scott collaborations (Big Night / The Imposters). I imagine the ILF cabal isn't so keen on the latter.

FYI -- this is his latest directorial / writing effort. Coming soon to the Netherlands! (Caught a bit of Joe Gould's Secret on TV one day a while back, but wasn't in the mood for it; will definitely give it a 2nd go, tho.)

David R., Monday, 25 August 2008 17:29 (seventeen years ago)

Big Night vs The Terminal ("America is CLOSED")

Dr Morbius, Monday, 25 August 2008 17:44 (seventeen years ago)

This guy is pretty awesome in everything he does.

B.L.A.M., Monday, 25 August 2008 17:56 (seventeen years ago)

His performance in The Core is very underrated.

methanietanner, Monday, 25 August 2008 22:23 (seventeen years ago)

ILX System, Monday, 1 September 2008 23:01 (seventeen years ago)

Hey, he kissed a man and liked it in The Daytrippers.

Alfred, Lord Sotosyn, Monday, 1 September 2008 23:14 (seventeen years ago)

I have seen zero of his listed works!

max, Wednesday, 29 December 2010 03:10 (fifteen years ago)

want to marry emma stone, not just cause she is a fox but because then stanley tucci and patricia clarkson could be my hilarious parents

max, Wednesday, 29 December 2010 03:10 (fifteen years ago)

three months pass...

i thought everyone was p funny individually in easy a, but it didn't end up adding up to much

goole, Friday, 8 April 2011 16:56 (fourteen years ago)

i ended up feeling like i wanted to get with patricia clarkson instead of emma stone, guessing that's some kind of failure for a movie like this

goole, Friday, 8 April 2011 16:57 (fourteen years ago)

i think its probably a net positive for everyone that you didnt leave this movie wanting to date a high school student

ban drake (the rapper) (max), Friday, 8 April 2011 17:02 (fourteen years ago)

my high school didn't issue the girls any blue booty shorts, is that a california thing?

Bight Night is pretty great, It's very artificial but convincing nonetheless. Also it has a truly great ending. One of the best endings of anything ever, really.

jed_, Sunday, 5 June 2011 01:05 (fourteen years ago)

yeah that ending cannot be fucked with. probably a top 10 movie ending ever.

Princess TamTam, Sunday, 5 June 2011 01:16 (fourteen years ago)

Hero. Also, I am hungry as fuck now:

http://www.nytimes.com/2012/10/03/dining/stanley-tucci-actor-writer-family-cook.html?_r=1&hp

“I didn’t go to school with a lunch bag,” he said. “I went to school with a grocery bag.” Pungent and oil-dappled, it typically contained two or three Italian heroes stuffed with ingredients like peppers and eggs, potatoes and eggs, or eggplant parmigiano.

“He used to sell it — change it — for Fluffernutter,” Mrs. Tucci said, sounding insulted. Time hadn’t extinguished her ire.

“Only on occasion,” he assured her, “when I grew weary of the veal cutlet.”

Ned Raggett, Tuesday, 2 October 2012 21:33 (thirteen years ago)

how does one grow weary of veal cutlets?

the ones that I'm near most: fellow outcasts and ilxors (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Tuesday, 2 October 2012 21:34 (thirteen years ago)

Ned Raggett, Tuesday, 2 October 2012 21:36 (thirteen years ago)

If I have to watch one more CNN commercial for his upcoming series on Italy, I will swear off Italian food for the rest of my life. (And I like him as an actor.)
