old one for historians cheap scotch and a three bar rinnai heater: mongrels and sheepfuxors brace for winter

electricsound, Monday, 1 September 2008 00:47 (sixteen years ago)

thanks for doing the links jim, I can't c+p on this iphone

Autumn Almanac, Monday, 1 September 2008 00:50 (sixteen years ago)

where 2 acquire a dagwood in carlton area i wonder

haitch, Monday, 1 September 2008 00:50 (sixteen years ago)

i am all about the important questions of our times

jim how was 'boys night' or whatever

haitch, Monday, 1 September 2008 00:54 (sixteen years ago)

xp corndog central

Autumn Almanac, Monday, 1 September 2008 00:55 (sixteen years ago)

boys night was sadly scuppered by me pulling a muscle in my neck

electricsound, Monday, 1 September 2008 01:05 (sixteen years ago)

If it was corndog central, I'm not surprised you pulled a muscle.

moley, Monday, 1 September 2008 01:06 (sixteen years ago)

oh man, imagine if they renovated melbourne central so it was exclusively a dagwood outlet

haitch, Monday, 1 September 2008 01:13 (sixteen years ago)

No dissing of Ned on the mongrel thread!

Yeah!

(Anyway thank you for the explanation. But I hope those guys realize how silly that movie title looks.)

Ned Raggett, Monday, 1 September 2008 01:13 (sixteen years ago)

Ned, it looks silly here too. For a bra is a bra, even down under.

moley, Monday, 1 September 2008 01:21 (sixteen years ago)

russell crowe wore womens' undergarments while recording his voice-over parts, but the producers decided that 'bra and panties boys' sounded ridiculous.

haitch, Monday, 1 September 2008 01:22 (sixteen years ago)

their decision was aided by their aversion to a bunch of fives from russell.

estela, Monday, 1 September 2008 02:07 (sixteen years ago)

Two redundancies today. One of them was under me when I was managerial. The mood throughout the building is horrible.

Autumn Almanac, Monday, 1 September 2008 07:29 (sixteen years ago)

I recall The Chaser doing a HAHA STUNT HAHA with the real life Bra Boys with one of them wearing a bra asking if they could join the gang and almost got the shit beat out of them for it.

King Boy Pato, Monday, 1 September 2008 09:45 (sixteen years ago)

King Boy Pato, Monday, 1 September 2008 22:04 (sixteen years ago)

SJ (my 8 yr old daughter, scratching at green streak on lino): What's this?
Me: It's nail polish, R dropped it on the floor last night. I can't get rid of it.
SJ: Nail polish remover.
Me (patiently): No, not nail polish remover - it's actually nail polish.
SJ (even more patiently): No. Dad. Use nail polish remover to get rid of it.
Me (completely gobsmacked): Wow, of course!! You're a lot smarter than me.
SJ: Well, I'm a girl, so... (shrugs)

moley, Monday, 1 September 2008 22:23 (sixteen years ago)

hah!

Autumn Almanac, Monday, 1 September 2008 22:51 (sixteen years ago)

For a parent that would be a truly wonderful moment.

Autumn Almanac, Monday, 1 September 2008 22:52 (sixteen years ago)

ilx has been shit today.

Autumn Almanac, Tuesday, 2 September 2008 07:23 (sixteen years ago)

I hate to say this but for me ILX has been...well, not shit, but I'm just bored with the whole thing lately :/

Trayce, Tuesday, 2 September 2008 10:07 (sixteen years ago)

I dont think it's anyone's fault, I dunno, I just dont get what I used to out of here.

Trayce, Tuesday, 2 September 2008 10:07 (sixteen years ago)

Today was particularly slow. I think people often grow out of ILX. Except for people like me of course.

moley, Tuesday, 2 September 2008 10:18 (sixteen years ago)

I had that Trayce. A couple of years off seems to have rejuvenated my interest.

Autumn Almanac, Tuesday, 2 September 2008 11:38 (sixteen years ago)

I like ILX most of the time, although I don't have time to post much these days. But sometimes all the selfrighteousness and self-absorbed wanking on (of ilxors other than the mongrels of course) gets a bit much for me and I have to take a little holiday from ILX. Then after a while I come back and everyone's changed their names and I don't know who anyone is so my interest gets rejuvenated too!

gem, Tuesday, 2 September 2008 12:19 (sixteen years ago)

ilx got all meta again this week. Clusterfuck threads and bannings galore. You missed nothing.

Autumn Almanac, Tuesday, 2 September 2008 12:20 (sixteen years ago)

all that stuff goes over my head completely. i don't even know what clusterfuck means.

gem, Tuesday, 2 September 2008 12:47 (sixteen years ago)

in other news... how good is spring?? i love it

gem, Tuesday, 2 September 2008 12:50 (sixteen years ago)

Now spring is a clusterfuck. Everyone's at it.

moley, Tuesday, 2 September 2008 13:20 (sixteen years ago)

Clusterfuck is just anything that has the involvement of too many people and is a disaster. Broader than ilx, is that one.

Autumn Almanac, Tuesday, 2 September 2008 22:06 (sixteen years ago)

helloooo

electricsound, Tuesday, 2 September 2008 23:38 (sixteen years ago)

What spring we havent had one here yet :( Damn you perth and your nice weather!

Trayce, Tuesday, 2 September 2008 23:39 (sixteen years ago)

trayce has not been outside today

electricsound, Tuesday, 2 September 2008 23:42 (sixteen years ago)

thereminimum chips (electricsound), Friday, 28 November 2008 03:46 (sixteen years ago)

my lunch yesterday was an iced coffee (no winning ute cap:( ), microwaved week old Quarter Pounder which had been in the freezer, and a can of coke.

You should all stop complaining.

milling through the grinder, grinding through the mill (S-), Friday, 28 November 2008 03:48 (sixteen years ago)

I'm not complaining, they are. I liked my lunch.

moley, Friday, 28 November 2008 03:51 (sixteen years ago)

Hang on, WHAT?

moley, Friday, 28 November 2008 03:51 (sixteen years ago)

moley, Friday, 28 November 2008 03:52 (sixteen years ago)

Yeah thats pretty hardcore... doesnt maccas like... turn into vulcanised rubber after half an hour!?

Trayce, Friday, 28 November 2008 03:55 (sixteen years ago)

Forget that guy who liked to chew up a cracker and put the resultant paste between two other crackers - this raises the bar considerably.

moley, Friday, 28 November 2008 03:57 (sixteen years ago)

oh no, never forget

i just had a 30cm length of pizza!!

fela cooties (haitch), Friday, 28 November 2008 03:57 (sixteen years ago)

it had been in the freezer... but still... If you thought the cheese was some sort of weird artificial construct beforehand...

I needed it though, I went out for vegan tibetan food the night before.

milling through the grinder, grinding through the mill (S-), Friday, 28 November 2008 04:03 (sixteen years ago)

Well fair enough then.

moley, Friday, 28 November 2008 04:05 (sixteen years ago)

it was pretty rancid. okay. but it's something to cross off the lists of life achievements.

milling through the grinder, grinding through the mill (S-), Friday, 28 November 2008 04:07 (sixteen years ago)

in case of vegan cuisine, break ice

fela cooties (haitch), Friday, 28 November 2008 04:08 (sixteen years ago)

fela cooties (haitch), Friday, 28 November 2008 04:44 (sixteen years ago)
