Kate the Saint, Wednesday, 25 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Sure deowipes / Wet Ones / Blotting paper.

Emma, Wednesday, 25 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

How about I shove banana bread up there?

Mike Hanle y, Wednesday, 25 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Banana bread + armpit odor = DUD.

Get thee to a CVS and buy some Speed Stick!

Dan Perry, Wednesday, 25 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Neh! I refuse to pay for a day of courtesy!

Mike Hanle y, Wednesday, 25 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Ooh. And today is not the day to walk around with your caves bangin'.

Dan Perry, Wednesday, 25 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Caves? I have no bodily caves!

Mike Hanle y, Wednesday, 25 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

"Caves" = "Armpits". "My caves are BANGIN'." = "My armpits have a ferocious odor today." This is an expression I stole from my brother.

Dan Perry, Wednesday, 25 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Perhaps I shoul dtake advantage of this and go around waving my caves in peoples faces to see them squirm

Mike Hanle y, Wednesday, 25 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

It's not nice to subject people to unwanted spelunking. And it's not like you can't use a stick of deodorant more than once. Consider it an investment in your future. You should keep the extra stick at the office, in case you have some bats flying out of them caves, or there's a nasty bear in there, or a canary's choking on the coaldust, or some other obtuse metaphor involving stalagtites.

David Raposa, Wednesday, 25 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I keep a spare can of Soft & Gentle in my desk drawer - you can borrow that if you want. Also, I got a free mini can of Impulse from Warehouse the other day with a leaflet about how to be a presenter on MTV so maybe if you hang around ladies' clothing emporia for a while somebody will take pity on you.

Madchen, Wednesday, 25 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

And what does 'today' smell like?

suzy, Wednesday, 25 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I am moving and I dont want to be bogged down with a stick of deo.

Mike Hanle y, Wednesday, 25 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

What about a stick of Dio?

Nicole, Wednesday, 25 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I'd like to stick Dio somewhere... HOLY DIVAH!

David Raposa, Wednesday, 25 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Remember Dino?

Mike Hanle y, Wednesday, 25 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Anyway, I've had this deodorant problem before, since I tend to forget these finer points of workaday life. All you have to do is go into the bathroom and wash out your armpits every hour.

Also, are there any disinfecting cleaning products around your office? I've been known to commandeer the Lysol and spray my pits as soon as everyone's backs are turned. Sometimes I've had to crouch behind the desk or filing cabinet for privacy.

For some reason, I never forget to brush my teeth. Bad breath is worse than smelly armpits, I guess.

Someone explain to me why a lot of English guys seem to put two gallons of cheap perfume on? I can still smell the last one that left my house three months ago.

nathalie (nathalie), Thursday, 26 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Its not just English guys. English women always overdo it with perfume too. My Dad passed out once due to the overpowering effect of my Mum's Charlie in the car.

Poison isn't called that for a laugh you know.

Pete, Thursday, 26 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

i'd lick them if you were here, dear.

Andrew L, Thursday, 26 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Today I applied Old Spice blue fresh scent, so I will be fine. But now my feet smell!

Mike Hanle y, Thursday, 26 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Feet stink is nothing (unless clamminess within socks is annoying the funk out of you). Just make sure to keep yr distance when unleashing those puppies to fresh air.

David Raposa, Thursday, 26 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Snigger, snigger, puppies = breasts where I come from. My feet are bad when I wear my knee boots as there is nowhere for the sweat to go.

Emma, Thursday, 26 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I smell winter.

the pinefox, Thursday, 26 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

nine months pass...
10 months later, the vapors have wafted to tracer hands nostrils

That really sounds like a lot more fun than what it is describing.

oh this thread is golden

Mr. Que, Tuesday, 29 May 2007 21:21 (nineteen years ago)

The Deo/Dio/Dino bit = roffles.

Ned Raggett, Tuesday, 29 May 2007 21:21 (nineteen years ago)

i can't believe you recommended AGAINST the banana bread, dan. ;_;

the schef (adam schefter ha ha), Tuesday, 29 May 2007 21:22 (nineteen years ago)

meh. Too... tropical, or something.

kenan, Tuesday, 29 May 2007 21:23 (nineteen years ago)

Daylight come and me want my deo

kenan, Tuesday, 29 May 2007 21:24 (nineteen years ago)

think how good and seasoned the banana bread would get if it aged in a cave

Mr. Que, Tuesday, 29 May 2007 21:24 (nineteen years ago)

Not even the comedy inherent in watching someone attempt to keep the loaves in place while moving furniture couldn't make up for my mental image of what sweaty banana bread must taste like.

Been hospitalized for 2+ weeks w/barely functioning arms/legs after spine surgery, and so no way to scrub my own caves, which are banging pretty epically even with a consistently nice controlled indoor temp over the month so far. I'm disgusting and disgusted with myself, but my higher priority is still asking nurses for painkillers than PSWs for scrubbings

Hope you have a smooth, speedy and thorough recovery...

<3 ♡ thanks

I'm definitely getting and feeling a teeny bit better daily, and am absolutely improved from the wretched pre-surgery days of the post-Memorial Day/Victoria Day period. But this June will still ultimately be the most unpleasant summer month of my lifetime - hopefully. The only surgical spine specialist in Northern Ontario is 200 miles away, so I'm wondering how many extra months pointless rent I'll ultimately be paying for an apartment which I won't be able to reoccupy for awhile, while missing my cat in care of my sister and her family

so sorry to hear that, hope all goes well
