I hope never to find out.

He talks a lot of CLAP TRAP!

arf arf!, Tuesday, 2 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I've had chlamydia a couple of times, but thanks to Azithromycin I am now totally unclapped. Thank you for your concern.

By the way, I would recommend all sexually active people to get checked for chlamydia at some point. It is very easily cured (one glass of vanilla-flavoured potion and you're clear) but, if untreated, can lead to sterility. Symptoms can be zero, so you need to go to know. In both the US and UK the clinic is free. And it doesn't hurt all that much to have a spatula stuck up your urethera. (Spot the little white lie.)

Momus, Tuesday, 2 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Thank you for your answer but i thought the clap was gonorrhea ?
Does it just mean any low level std ?

anthony, Tuesday, 2 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

So boys and girls can get chlamydia equally? Can you get it from things other than intacourse?

Mark C, Tuesday, 2 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

i saw a bus in Halifax. on the back there was a big cartoon, one girl says "i have chlamydia!", the other says "what is that?", the first says "it is a sexually transmitted disease!"

Pauline Calf to boyfriend:
'You see style is like the clap, you've either got it or you haven't got it. I've got it. And now you've got it as well.'

Respect to Momus for honesty (not to mention good advice) beyond the call of duty.

stevo, Tuesday, 2 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Yes, except he invoked the concept of 'sexually active', which always makes me feel a bit odd. I once casually mentioned that I was sexually inactive and people laughed and didn't know where to look.

N., Tuesday, 2 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

on the net the real TMI moment is when someone says they are CURRENTLY sexually active: WELL CAN YOU TAKE A MOMENT'S BREAK PLEASE!!??!!

mark s, Tuesday, 2 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

The joy of laptops. Imagine, for instance, that one scene in Dangerous Liaisons, only with a PowerBook instead of pen and paper.

Ned Raggett, Tuesday, 2 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I thought to get rid of the clap you had to just fuck someone who has anit-clap.

mike hanle y, Tuesday, 2 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Sex is not Star Trek physics.

Ned Raggett, Tuesday, 2 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

A generation weeps.

N., Tuesday, 2 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

yes, but momus's genitals now do not.

Queen G, Tuesday, 2 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Even at the best of times I'm not inclined to laugh about sexually transmitted diseases, and right now I'm all but comatose after an editorial death march through a couple of reports on HIV education and prevention for the Red Cross.

However, in light of Momus' spot-on comments about getting tested and treated for STDs, we all need to give him a round of applause *clap clap clap*

This is obvs gonna be from a scene in the new film where Batman solves part of some fiendish super-villan puzzle involving innocent citizens in peril and gets a sarcastic "Oh well done..." from The Joker.

Bodrick III, Monday, 4 February 2008 20:39 (seventeen years ago)
