I'm excited cos it looks like I'm going to move back to London in May (yes!) and telework most of the week. Workers-from-home - how do you like it? Do you get anything done? Any tips?

I think this qns been asked before but who cares because IM MOVING BACK TO LONDON! At bloody last!!

Well, I'm 95% certain to be moving back anyway.

What is teleworking? I thought it was like cold calling people, I must be wrong!

Working from home must surely be a complete and utter classic! Though, I would probably just watch daytime TV if given the opportunity.

I like it and can get quite a lot done. I am going to be doing more, from next week.

Yeah, get a lot done on ILX! Get back to work, ya skiver!

I do it about 1 day a week on average, sometimes more. I love it, but either get much more done or virtually nothing. Unless a very tight deadline looms I do tend to shirk and find stuff to do to avoid working hard, but if I really need to I can get peace and quiet here which is impossible at work.

Mark, are you not at all unsettled that your boss defines his very identity from his relationship with you? Who da man ect

i am self-employed in fact and thus as important and powerful in my company as rupert murdoch is in his

Mark...do you have to do your own tax return forms?

Mark mark. Didn't you say you did that Fite! OOh no!! doodle at a departmental meeting. Did Duane's cat take the minutes?

My eyes are hurting to the point where I thought this thread was titled "Telewanking C-or-D".

Dan Perry, Thursday, 4 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

i am self-employed but (mainly) sub-contracted on a (rolling) permanent basis by a single org: my accountant does my tax returns because i am lazy; duane's cat did take the minutes, because i was busy doodling

I was hoping this thread was about working in a call centre, which is obviously the most classic thing there ever was.
