Regrets, I've had a few

I regret posting the entire plot to the episode of Black Books I feverishly came up with last night.

As for regrets about not doing things, i'm trying to put that right.

Tons of stuff I did/said/ways I thought about things 1990-2008.

I can never think of any regrets! OTOH it isn't because I have lived a stainless life but bcz I have a bad memory about things when asked a direct question. Which is why I can never answer questions about meals or recent events.

regrets. I don't think I can regret anything I have done, even the really bad things, because it would be pointless.

calling to mind that old butthole surfers song, of course. But seriously, regret of things you *have* done is not pointless. It keeps you from making those mistakes again, old friend.

I guess what I was thinking is that regretting can become more than the event.
Maybe I'm associating it with guilt.

I just have learned that I HAVE to move on. And I probably have more regrets and guilt than...I don't know, Jesus?

in light of that all other mishaps that have befallen me whether deserved or not seem quite silly to even worry about

It's hard to regret anything because every significant event enhances who you are in some way. I had a shit job that nearly killed me but I got a wife out of it. In the '90s I went out with a psycho; the experience taught me to never go out with anyone that crazy ever again. etc etc.

Unless you killed someone or something, obviously.

The only regrets that bother me, decades after the fact, involve treating a person badly who did nothing to deserve bad treatment. Not going into the douchebag details here. Still ashamed.
