The FG will be a slimmer proposition from now on - probably only 20-25 records, but I still need your help.

Pink is a must. And how about "Bad Babysitter"?
― Jeff W, Monday, 8 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)
Is Murder on the Dancefloor in this bracket? If so then it must be nominated.

The miracles of the CD burner mean that the FG party can be much more mobile than before, and can even be multiple.

It's difficult to pick a single nu-electro track, I'm leaning towards "Hand to Phone" by Adult though. Is that in the window?
― scott p., Monday, 8 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)
"Sunglasses at Night" was second in my head behind "Hand to Phone".
More international stuff! (Excepting the Baha Men.)

The 12" of Emerge is still knocking around in the shops - that said I think it is older. Whole album being re-released in May.
Sunglasses? 'Rippin Kittin' by Golden Boy (actually not sure about the release date on that either)

And seriously Death in Vegas-Scorpio needs to be included, I realise noone has heard it, but it's pretty unique to me, and definitely one of the major dance singles of the last while as far as I can see.
In this case, more like a dismembered egret.

Sorry, still grumpy due to estate agent/work etc.
The big FG problems needing solving:
i) transatlantic "what the fuck?" issues. We got the right balance last time I think.
ii) gap between live FG participants ('in the spirit' of the feature but v.drunken comments) and at-PC participants.
iii) non-response (25 songs rather than 35 makes taking part less arduous).
What the hell is with this outbreak of gothicity?
And "Overprotected".

Notable singles: Good (or otherwise popular)
***Lo-Fi All Stars: "Sleeping Faster" (does that still count, or is it too new?)
***Basement Jaxx: "Romeo" (Loved "Where's Your Head At?", but Mike and Tom already seconded---and tripled---it)
***Zero 7: "Destiny"
***Alicia Keys: "Fallin'"
***IIO: "Rapture"
***A-Pop: "Kathy's Song"
There's more, but the worst is much more fun:
***Creed: "Higher" ***Nickleback: "How you remind me" ***The Strokes: "Last Nite" *** whoever does the song "Kryptonite" ***Trik-Turner: "Friends + Family"
Yeah, it's short, but tis 4 in the morning, so...;>

Does Green Velvet-La La Land fit into the bracket? Most likely it's too old, but I think it merits a place beyond as a representative of nu-electro. There's little or no dance songs where the vocal is as important, at least that I can think of.
The time bracket seems so large, almost impossible to cut it down. Still.....

Also please include Outkast; Shakira; Sheryl Crow.
― alext, Tuesday, 9 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)
The intro to Shakira sounds like the riff in "Wish You Were Here" by Pink Floyd except it last 2 seconds instead of 200. Good for Shakira!
