I don't know if you've ever seen that book Sing Out! by Boze Hadleigh. It's basically a history of gay and lesbian stars and has a number of interviews with closeted stars whose names aren't disclosed as a result, which is kind of frustrating and makes the book more titillating than I wanted it to be (I want to know who they are, dammit!).
