Coolest personal thing you've discovered via Google

My ex got married and had a kid, and my other ex is a math (or "mathe" in Dan Perryism) teacher. What the hell? My mom's been on a quest on GOogle for the past week for this guy she doesn't even know who is a friend of a friend who has a semi-common name, tying together a very complex story based upon what she's found. So far this person (who is about my age) is a weatherman who has some sort of weird identity thing with a professor in Montreal who was killed by a Soviet and stole records off people on Usenet. The Usenet thing is probably true, the rest of it is just way too cool for anyone I personally know.

That I'm sensei of the Imperial Shotokan Karate Club. I didn't even know that I could do martial arts. I also learned that I collect old Ford Cortinas or something like that, less appealingly.

That people can, apparently, find many happy uses for the whip, leash and chain...

I found out this guy I used to be best mates with caused some major scandal at a University not long ago. That was funny.

In 1989, I sent a message to Usenet querying the whereabouts of a girl I'd known when I was 13, so I could apologize to her for being something of a jerk to her at the time.

Last week, her mom Googled the USENET archive for her name, found my message, forwarded it to her, and we've been exchanging emails. Only took 13 years.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, last thing I found, was this. Oh you mean related to *me*? Well, not that. heh. I found out I am a lesbian woman. Or someone living in France. Or a nine year old kid with her own personal webpage. I haven't decided which one I am going to be.
