simon munnery (aka league of tedium, alan parker - urban warrior): clever clogs or just plain horrible?

just saw his league against tedium show, and i'm not really sure. he sets out to be a total fascist misanthropic and egomaniacal nerd. ok, but he certainly has a large proportion of his wrath laid aside for women. there's yentob the puppet crushed by his gigantic wife's orange, men dying before their wives because they want to, mrs. sisyphus nagging sisyphus to push the stone up the hill... it just went on and on. didn't simon's mum breast feed him? or was it all in good fun?

i've heard that the character is partly based on nietzsche, about whom i know very little. if nietzsche was a big time misogynist, this will explain a lot. but until i know this, i will have a slightly uncomfortable feeling in the pit of my stomach (revulsion?) when i think of simon munnery.

From the relatively little I've seen of him, he seems splendid. But then you've witnessed a whole show and I haven't.

Munnery doesn't really mean all that stuff about women - it's all in character. The League basically hates pretty much everything except himself. It should be noted that The League's other great enemy is "the sea".
