Something like half the Pulitzers went to the New York Times, and many of them went to the Wall Street Journal, too -- special awards for post-Sept 11 coverage in the face of hardship (Daniel Pearl, etc)

Dont read the NYT but was it deserved ? heard that their daily tributes to the victims of 9/11 was pretty amazing?

i am not a fan of the NYT seems very um whats the word , secure ? no thats not right , not voring , um stable , no thats not right weither. god like ? thats the closest

My predictions last year panned out pretty well, so this year I'm going:

The Dark Side or Nixonland for non-fiction
Lush Life or The Lazarus Project for fiction
No Prize, Ruined, or Reasons to be Pretty for drama
Wathing The Spring Festival or Colosseum for poetry
Frank Rich for opinion
Terry Teachout for criticism

The Pulitzer at 100 is pretty good. The most interesting interviews for me were the photographers who took the horrifying napalmed-girl and Kent State photos, and when Carl Bernstein recalls a phone call to John Mitchell, it's literally almost word for word the way it's presented in the Pakula film.
