Seems to have been swept under the rug lately. Am I the only one who thinks this needs to be watched, regardless of the endless distraction from certain other regions? No mistake, Central Asia is going to figure on the world stage in a VERY big way soon. Hope I'm being overly pessimistic...

initial, fairly ignorant, thoughts are that it seemed russia was going to get carte blanche there in the wake of sep11. but that shit about america going into georgia and displacing russia recently was real interesting. not sure whats going to happen next...
