More problems for football's poorer relations

Not such a bad idea perhaps. If they rejoin the Scottish League, then the Old Firm will be left with a choice - see what happens regarding joining English leagues, or come back - on the terms set down by the rest of the clubs, which would be a nice reversal of the usual power relations.

As the old proverb said - only when the last team has left the league will you discover that you need people to play against.

bloody hell, isnt this good news????

i guess it leaves div 1-3 with some problems...but maybe not. i think the thing is is this phrase:

"leaves Rangers and Celtic in limbo." sounds good to me. although we dont want them getting in the nationwide. maybe thats inevitable.

if it does, its even less chance of palace ever getting back in the playoffs...

or 48 old firm derbies per year.

Perhaps the Vauxhall Conference could offer them a place? Think of the crowds! The fun of 10,000 Scots descending on tiny grounds! The thrashings (cf Fulham women)! The fun of mass defections from these massive clubs, as all the players realise that playing against Slough is not the way to international notice!

I fear for the rest of the league if they go out without the big two. Will enough armchair punters want to watch Thistle vs Kilmarnock to generate any real revenue? I don't think so.
