DUD, obviously, but I just wanted to moan. Is it time to resurrect the pubic shaving thread?

Mark C, Wednesday, 17 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

People who remove their mole hair are vain, stupid and worthless.

Mole Man, Wednesday, 17 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

OK non so-there answer - yeah it's not great but it doesn't bother me muchly, a snip and its no more.

Tom, Wednesday, 17 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Are you allowed to shave face moles? I do, but I seem to recall hearing from somwehere (probably an old wifie) that it was bad.

Jonnie, Wednesday, 17 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

IN 400 years' time, that statement will seem absurd and/or abhorrent. Both of them.

Ellie, Wednesday, 17 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Touche, Tom. I had been wondering about your suspiciously wrinkle- free pate for some time...

I think it's plucking mole hair that you're not alowed to do. Shaving will presumably only be a dange if you cut the mole itself.

Mark C, Wednesday, 17 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

*checks to see if there's still one on chest*

i have a Chin Hair (not growing out of a mole) and i pluck it and pluck it and it always comes back. it is a source of Worry.

katie, Wednesday, 17 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

There's one on my arm near my elbow. It's quite long but you're watching cartoons if you think I'm going to cut it. It's been there for years now. It can stay.

Ronan, Wednesday, 17 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I have a mole on the back of my neck that untold barbers have nearly - - although never completely -- decapitated.

Colin Meeder, Wednesday, 17 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I don't touch the other hairy moles I have but the ones that occupy the beard area have to be shorn regularly. I'm a rubbish shaver and trying to avoid them would be far too difficult.

Jonnie, Wednesday, 17 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

don't judge me based on my hairy moles. can you perm the hairs in yer ears?

nathalie, Wednesday, 17 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

i have only recently discovered that I am the proud owner of ear hair. it has been cut. that's how proud i was.

Alan Trewartha, Wednesday, 17 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I have this. It's a family thing. I was always really smug about it to mother, grandmother and aunts. And then I found it and called my mum wailing 'I've got the chin hair, I'm getting old'.

My mother found this hysterically amusing and couldn't speak for laughing for about five minutes (laughter exacerbated by me shouting "it's not bloody funny!"). When she could speak she hung up on me and phoned grandmother and aunts. Who then all rang me to laugh themselves.

I had the same problem. But after my granny said hers suddenly decided to go into hiding, mine hasn't come back!

nathalie, Wednesday, 17 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

We should start a support group

Anna, Wednesday, 17 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Think of the prank phonecalls.....

Ronan, Wednesday, 17 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

If you have a mole that isn't growing hair, then worry. The hairless ones more likely to be melanoma.

suzy, Wednesday, 17 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

ok, I'm worried

chris, Wednesday, 17 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Geez, Suzy, way to enliven the thread.

Bitsuh, Wednesday, 17 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Or maybe it's just a booger stuck to your face.

nathalie, Wednesday, 17 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Listen, you must shave the hairy mole. Once a woman came into my work with a mole on her chin/neck with 6-10 seven or eight inch long hairs on it!!! God, that is unacceptable.

Dan I., Wednesday, 17 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Phrase that sounds dirty but isn't: "shaving the mole".

Dan Perry, Wednesday, 17 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

"Shaving the mole-rats," now that's dirty.

I have a random dark hair growing out of my right earlobe. It harms nothing and I trim it if it gets bothersome.

Ned Raggett, Wednesday, 17 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I've got a mole above my right eye that I attempted to scratch off my face when I was 12. I was a very stupid child.

Dan Perry, Wednesday, 17 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Sorry Nitsuh, but it's something that got dinned into me following having other cancer. If I see a weird mole (and the more colours your non-hairy mole is, the weirder it is) I get myself off to a dermatologist who does a little light oncology on the side.

suzy, Wednesday, 17 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

If I see a weird mole [...] I get myself off to a dermatologist who does a little light oncology on the side.

Would "BLIMEY!" be an appropriate comedy word to use here?

Dan Perry, Wednesday, 17 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I have 2 small moles, but both are in hairy places anyway: above right of chin (when i don't shave and in so doing try to look older than 15), next to ear.

Mitch Lastnamewithheld., Wednesday, 17 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

i have too strange sites of hair growth. on my arm, i have a single white hair that grows to an immense length. like half a metre long. i used to have a boyf who it disturbed so much he would pull it out against my will. but it just grows back. i also have one of these hairs on my face, but it doesn't get so long. they don't grow out of moles, and you can't see them unless you're looking for them. hairs growing out of moles do not bother me.

di, Wednesday, 17 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I have no moles! I feel left out.

alix, Thursday, 18 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Indeed, Alix, young ladies only have beauty spots and never moles or freckles.

Emma, Thursday, 18 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Fuck you all and your fucking mole hair. Get a fucking life, or go out and kill yourselves.

Jack Ass, Monday, 27 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

*ignoring troll*

I don't just have a chin hair, I have an entire female goatee. Ick. There's too much to pluck, so I have to shave. Twice a day. And I'm only 33.

Christine "Green Leafy" Indigo, Monday, 27 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

i feel uncomfortable bout a mole on my face which has hairs growing out of it. its gettin me down is there any way i can get rid of em? email me if ya know how plz

kat, Sunday, 9 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Best googled post ever?

Dom Passantino, Sunday, 9 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

This is a response to Kat's concern. Leave the hairs alone. I remember growing up in the Philippines and one of my aunts cut the hairs growing from her mole. They grew back long, dark and course, like witch hairs. That's why my mom told me not to cut the ones growing from my facial mole. I'm now in my early thirties and they are still very soft fine hairs. My boyfriend likes the way they feel since they are soft virgin hairs.

Take care, Laura

Laura, Thursday, 20 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I tweased a hair growing out of a mole on my arm twice in a year, and now there's two hairs growing there! I'm guessing I should stop tweazing there...haha!

Dana, Sunday, 30 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

anthony, Sunday, 30 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

That is one vicious looking hairy mole there, Anthony.

RickyT, Monday, 1 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

three weeks pass...
My father's partner has a mole growing on her chin with whiskers sprouting out of it. My father used to work away for weeks at a time. I could always tell when he was due home by loking at his partner's mole. If the whisker was shaved ff he would be due home shortly

gaz, Thursday, 25 July 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

There's a Chinese man I've seen riding the subway with ikidyounot like 4-inch hairZor coming right out of a mole on his neck - despite his very clean-shaven face and closely-cropped hair and clean fingernails etc!! I would not call him vain and worthless if he "took care of business" there, but he is clearly attached to it?

should crawl in to a hole.

ive got two of these damn things on my face, they make me look ugly, which on the other side of my face without them looks heaps better

so i want to get them removed, there HAS to be a way, laser surgery etc?

i dont care if theres a mm hole in my face, from scars, just as long as these hideous things are removed

person, Thursday, 24 October 2002 11:16 (twenty-three years ago)

If the moles truly distress you, a plastic surgeon can remove them.

j.lu (j.lu), Thursday, 24 October 2002 23:25 (twenty-three years ago)

tracer I believe the preferred nomenclature would have it clearly attached to him
