I got my wife a Slanket for xmas last year. It was a pretty big hit.

The Snuggie looks like a cheap pretender to the Slanket throne.

"The high intensity discharge lights washed the steel vault in an antiseptic glow. Cold gray walls as thick as the armor of a battleship. Each man had his own reason for being there, that night. Yet they all shared one common interest. When the last seal on the door had been cracked, their treasure was revealed, The Slanket, in Castlerock Grey."

Prize goes to Slanket but I don't think I would drop $45 on one. Bet these are shiteasy to make

See I always thought there was already an existing compromise between blankets and clothes, and it was known as a robe.

nabisco, Wednesday, 24 September 2008 23:23 (seventeen years ago)

Granted, you can't pull a robe over your feet and ankles, but still

I got my 92-year-old grandfather a NUDDLE for Christmas and he loves it. I would have purchased a Slanket, but they were sold out, and I was afraid the Snuggie was too low quality for the dearly beloved old man. Nuddle is pretty sweet but it's expensive and has holes instead of sleeves BUT it has a foot pocket, which is pretty useful if your an old cold person who sleeps on the couch all day and twitches your feet a lot in the process.

The NUDDLE arm holes look like they were just snipped out with scissors!

Haha, nice one!

Er, I mean.

WHAT THE FUCK???!?? I'LL WIPE MY ASS WITH YOUR LUNG TISSUE FOR THIS!

I gave my boss a Slanket for Xmas '07, but her mother stole it from her so she specifically asked me to get her another one for Xmas '08. I hope her family members keep stealing them from her so I don't have to figure out presents for a few more years -- she's hard to buy for.

That's about right. If you thought the Slanket looked easy to make, the Nuddle is like, really easy to make. But that would involve far more planning ahead than I am capable of in the Christmas season, so overpriced Nuddle it was. Still, still, I am gratified by my choice because it has made the old man so happy.

home of the vain (Jenny), Saturday, 28 February 2009 17:06 (seventeen years ago)

Like, even though the Nuddle is really probably a rip off, I would buy it again for that reason.

So what is THE BEST snuggie for someone who actually wants one, and not just as a joke? Is the microplush stuff really better? What's with there being an official snuggie site with some kinds and then other kinds through other sites?
