My father is in town for a week and is passed out from the plane/airport drink cycle. , most of my friends drink toexcess, I think David drinks too much. I try not to drink but imbibe occsainally. So in light of all this, how do we know when we drink too much, Can we cut back or do we have to teetotal.

I just turned 21. Now I don't have any urges to drink anymore. Fuck.

Not at all. Life kills you. But that's the Spanish stare-death-in-the- eyes side of me talking :)There is of course an Art of Drinking and this takes a lot of practise I'm afraid. Through the years I've become a great drinker, never have to throw up anymore, can drink quite a lot without getting a hangover. But like I said: practise without puritan guilt looking over your shoulder (self-hatred in re.alcohol is quite dangerous).

i don't drink any more, i totally don't miss it. what's the big fuckin deal. the way people talk about it you'd think it was something that was actually fun. like heroin.

drinking kills russia. 40% of men in siberia are alcoholics.....

you think youve got a problem.....

i guess, a litre bottle of vodka (stolichnaya say) costs about the same as 3 bottles of coke, ie 1.50 pounds....a bottle of beer is *cheaper* than coke. in fact beer is just about the cheapest drink you can get here............

maybe thats why they are so fucked

i'm a big ol' lush with an empire-state tolerance level, so i'll certainly drink any neoprohibitionist under the table.
