Last things I listened to were in backwards order.
Half an Hour ago...........Joey Beltram mix CD in someones house.
3.00-7ish-Dave Clarke World Service thingy in same house.
11-2.30-DJ set from my friend at the Kitchen, highlight was a Sex Pistols song thrown in the middle of the set.
When I go home I want to listen to the Avalanches. Incredibly badly.

Groove Armada-Superstylin', pulled out this mp3 which i'd been sick of.
Then assorted Josh Wink, Chems, Basement Jaxx, Carter, some electro and the Stooges Fun House in the CD part of the computer.
Yay! Thanks, kisskiss, I know you meant me, because you all love me, don't you, huh, don't you? Oh God, maybe you don't! Wah...
I will continue your Finnish theme (mm Circle) by playing lots and lots of Aavikko records and a bit of Ovuca. I might try to play some CMX and YUP too but I think at the first ridiculously pompous Cardiacs-meets-hair-metal-with-occasional-worryingly-Proclaimersish-vo cals growling of YUP I would be booted off. Also Bogdan Raczynski - DnB Classixxx96 stuff (if I can work out what speed it should be at) and perhaps some Polvo. I might then try a tortuous and tenuous segue of five records with the word "five" in the title, just because I want to play Proswell's "Hip Kids Rack Fives" and the Mountain Goats' "Cubs In Five". I suppose this would involve playing Pavement's "5-4 = Unity". I think it would be best if I have a slot when nobody will be listening.
Groo. No ta, I've just changed my mind. [Rest of ILX breathes sigh of relief]

Hey Rebecca, can you mail me a working email address?
Heh, I've had the cool thing again when words repeated too many times fail to make sense at just flop about on the tongue. (I NEED A NEW JOB).
― RickyT, Friday, 19 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)
1. Take the email address on this post - i.e. my old one which doesn't work any more because another.com are evil - and swap the low-fi and the spacecadet and it should reach me. I'll email you two the proper address in a minute, too.
2. Indeed, RickyT. 555 ist lovely. I have another non-555 7" with similar instructions too.
Would someone like to tell me about Osymyso's pre-Intro Inspection career? I picked up a white label 12" on Hansome (sic, I believe, at least if their inkstamp is to be trusted) marked "Osymyso - Being Born - Hansy003" wondering if it was the same bloke and it seems that it is. What else has he done?
(Got into an argument on a filesharer/chat app the other day about whether or not Intro-Inspection was the most brilliant work of artistic genius ever because of its concept regardless of all other considerations, which ended amicably despite needlessly savage personal attacks by both sides when we both declared love and admiration for Freaky Trigger. k-blimey! Also non-ILX ex-ama type from whom I've bought some cds [I know, I know...] also turns up there from time to time. Internet = small world. Must stop getting into arguments on it.)
I've been out of the DJ loop so long I don't know what I would play right now. Hm. Maybe I'll just hook up a connection to my housemate Ben's mixes.

You won't het far with that stupid Kay guitar,Little girl, what you do with that Woolworth's cheep guitar?Hey now they're fixing window seals,And we've got a record deal,We saw them just the other day and laughed straight in their faces.
Boy next door, you had everything in the world,Could have been a footballer with that perm,Thought you were a popstar too, all the girls...Yeah, yeah, you don't get me,Yeah, yeah, you don't get me,One-nil to the Super Kay,One-nil to the Super Kay,We saw you all the other day and laughed straight in your faces.
The boy next door was in a band,That once got played by Tommy Vance,Told us he was leaving school,For jumbo jets and swimming pools,Had a party out the back,And all his mates that came to stay,Smashed down my back door to say:
Boy next door, you had everything in the world,Could have been a footballer with that perm,Thought you were a popstar too, all the girls...Yeah, yeah, you don't get me,Yeah, yeah, you don't get me,One-nil to the Super Kay,One-nil to the Super Kay,We saw you all the other day and laughed straight in their faces.
Boy next door we took pictures of you,Jumping up and down when your mother went to town,Caught you putting on her makeup and secret blouses,We made a video and we took it round the houses
Hey boy next door you don't get me,One-nil to the Super Kay,One-nil to the Super Kay,We saw you all the other day and laughed straight in their faces.Wave goodbye to the boy next door, [yeah yeah] Wave goodbye to the boy next door, [yeah yeah]Wave goodbye to the boy next door [yeah yeah],Wave goodbye to the boy next door. Yeah yeah.
REBECCA TO THREAD
Oh, they do anyway.
*mumbles* Who's that boy with the ocean green eyes in Rough Trade every Saturday? Don't he look cute in his 80s tracksuit? I wish I hadn't thrown mine anyway... but I bet he's not a real punk boy, I bet he's not a real punk boy, I bet he's not a real punk boy at all...
Hey, Graham, have you played the Flash game on the Mint Royale website? You might like it. Probably nobody else here will, but hey. It's called Star Island and it's by the same people (Unit9) who did the fly game for Clinic's "Second Line". Wow, what a job, eh? Envy. Er, anyway, yeah, it's approximately here, and yes, I do have too much time on my hands.
My best tube station music moment ever = was getting lost in a tube station, I forget which one, because half the corridors were blocked due to maintenance, and it was just after a Clinic gig which I'd wanted to go to but I'd opted to see Jameson (yay!) and the Workhouse (yay!) and the newly-reformed Linoleum (zzz) instead since I'd seen Clinic a month before, and I was standing in the middle of a corridor thinking, "Right, that redirection sign I just followed was wrong, so how the hell do I get to the Victoria line?" and five twenty-something blokes walked the other way singing loudly and wordlessly. And I thought, "That sounds familiar." And then it dawned on me, and I spun drunkenly round and said, "Clinic! Return of Evil Bill!" and they look confused and then they beamed drunkenly back and nodded, and then we went our separate ways again. Actually this is not going to sound like a classic moment to anyone else, just like me making an arse of myself after too much vodka and coke AGAIN, but yay all the same.
