Who do you say this to? Who says it to you? Who do you wish said it to you? Does hearing it matter? When does it make you uncomfortable? When does it feel good to hear it?

Mark, Friday, 19 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I love you too...

Mark, Friday, 19 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm sorry, the feelings have just changed, it's not you... I don't know...

Sarah, Friday, 19 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Something about this qn reminded me of Tom...sorry I didn't check the archives.

Mark, Friday, 19 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Mark and Tom up a tree.

Sarah, Friday, 19 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

When does it make you uncomfortable?

RIGHT NOW.

Tom, Friday, 19 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Awww.

Sarah, Friday, 19 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

No need to be nervous Tom, just try.. try going over and talking to him.

Graham, Friday, 19 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I say it all the time lately, what with the RAVE and all. Though last night I got a phonecall and even in my messed up state I stopped myself from saying it cos I wasn't sure I didn't mean it. And then something distracted me toward the dancefloor.

I don't think I ever have said it to my parents, nor can I remember them saying it to me. At least not in any direct way. It would feel uncomfortable.

Oh, *now* you're all suave. ;-)

I think this is one of the most frightening phrases I have ever heard muttered. I have heard it from two different people in the past...and I another is implying it. This is no family-love either...it's the boyfriend love. It's anxiety for me when I even think about it...Unfortunately I regret having said it to the people I have so far...so I have decided to not say it until I am married or some crazy idea like that. It doesn't make me feel mushy inside, it makes me scared.

When we were driving around in Tuscany in pursuit of a ruined monastery used in Tarkovsky's Nostalgia that I had visited 12 years before, we saw a cartoon mouse graffitied on the back of a road sign with 'TI AMO' written underneath. I wanted to stop for a photo but a strange fear gripped me and I just couldn't ask.

I haven't said 'I Love You' out loud to anyone for ages. It gets me into trouble. However, I am thinking of scrawling it across roadsigns with pictures of cartoon

How charming that Nick has reappeared amongst us after such an unbearable gap, and his computer is chopping off the end of his posts just like the old days.

I say it to my wife. My wife says it to me.

Michael Jones, Monday, 22 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Yes, but imagine if your wife was a mouse.

N., Monday, 22 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I think that would make me very happy. A little mouse. Aw.

Michael Jones, Monday, 22 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I'd rather have a BeeBo

Graham, Monday, 22 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I know this thread doesn't mean it. Hmph.

Sarah, Monday, 22 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Beebo Loves You:

Graham, Monday, 22 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

She's giving you a 'come wither' look, N.

[withers]

N., Saturday, 27 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

She actually looks more like "get out of the way of my Ford Model-T"

jel --, Saturday, 27 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Hey do you reckon if I was really friendly she'd let me come to Toad Hall for dinner?

Ronan, Saturday, 27 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Mock ye not. It's a publicity still from a little Britflick she has agreed to appear in. She plays Dig Wayne's wife in 'Boxed Out', a low-budget biopic documenting the rise and fall of the Jo Boxers.

N., Saturday, 27 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

N, have you noticed how ditzy she seems in interviews? I suspect not.

Mitch Lastnamewithheld, Saturday, 27 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I think she has always appeared very intelligent and witty.

N., Saturday, 27 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Would N. be interested in a teenage Bridlingtonian Nicole Kidman equivalent?

Graham, Saturday, 27 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

one year passes...
I still love that photo.
