I prefer the Turkish original. Her vocals are down too low in the mix (not bad if she has a bad voice, but without them its just a nicely produced Middle Eastern bit o'pop). She danced badly on cd:UK.

Recently on ILE there was a big argument about whether John Peel had sold out with Momus - which then led to much discussion about cultural gatekeepers and value of low vs high art (massive paraphrasing here). A few films have been discussed and we went to the pub and stayed out late - so late that Cabbage got a taxi which cost more than his trip to France.

And Radio ILE!!! I have now setup Shoutcast on my pc at work (only available within the building I'm afraid), but i can report that it is a DODDLE to setup, and use. THIS IS NOW PRIORITY #1 for everyone. this must be setup NOW by someone, anyone with broadband (ahem).
