for me too, i mean
yeah i remember watching the two parter that concludes the 2nd season for the first time at like 4 in the morning feeling overtired and burnt out and just marveling at how bitter and nihilistic the show was and it sortof just seeped into me and being really disappointed with how glibly straining and formulaic the other episodes were and then watching the 3rd season and just being like bowled over, i guess, by the change in tone and intensity

it was really dramatic when dino went from these arcs that always centered around moral orel learning a lesson, etc, and then shifted into these tonally varied episodes that sometimes barely featured orel at all. i guess he was getting bolder / more inventive, but for some reason frankenhole has never clicked like that for me
