Are you thinking about the post where you admitted to eating butt lint, Kevin?

;-)

Tadeusz Suchodolski, Saturday, 28 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

nah. go to ilm and look under "introduce yourselves"..first post. hell, that butt lint thing got a responce.

kevin enas, Saturday, 28 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I regret everything. I hate looking at my own writing.

Nicole, Saturday, 28 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Je ne regrette rien, comme Edith Piaf.

Tadeusz Suchodolski, Sunday, 29 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I can't believe I praised the Stranglers so fulsomely on ILM. I still like their sound but I realized that the lyrics are pretty stupid.

dave q, Sunday, 29 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

On this board? Too many. On a mailing list? I once posted "Don't want to bugger you too much...". I received complaints for about a week.

nathalie (nathalie), Sunday, 29 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I regret all the ones where I didn't say anything much, like this one.

jel, Sunday, 29 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

The posts where I don't say much are my crowning glories. :-)

Tadeusz Suchodolski, Sunday, 29 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

On the Simon Reynolds thread. I meant every word, but I shouldn't have said it.

Dave M., Sunday, 29 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

My posting to explain why (... so I thought) I was leaving ILM. Not that I didn't believe it, but there were a lot of things I left very unclear, so a lot of people believed I was attacking *them* when I wasn't.

Robin Carmody, Sunday, 29 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

"I have a big ass" isn't a highlight of my life.

Ally, Sunday, 29 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Sterling Clover, Sunday, 29 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I've regretted not making some posts. And I regret the ones where a good joke is ruined by poor execution or a crappy spelling mistake.

Tom, Monday, 30 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I second Tom on the poorly delivered jokes. Also, I kind of regret that thread on ILM where I suggested that everyone with an email address based on a band lyric was a moron.

nick, Monday, 30 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Yeah but that was one of your best threads ever - I always like that kind of thread where you think, god I wish I'd posted that but I'm really glad I didn't.

Tom, Monday, 30 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

So I'm just the fall guy, is that it? Can I marrry Farrah Fawcett?

Nick, Monday, 30 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Farrah Fawcett now or Farrah Fawcett then?

Madchen, Monday, 30 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Anything that makes you look moronic and makes other people say "Oh, I wish I had the balls to be that stupid" is classic.

Ally, Monday, 30 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I regret contributing to the "How much money do you make?" thread. Not only did I break a personal rule about not discussing that kind of thing, I did *jinx* my (then) upcoming interviews because I'm *still* unemployed.

Perhaps I should start a "What's the longest you've ever gone without Work?".

Michael Jones, Monday, 30 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Farrah Fawcett now = STILL classic

dave q, Monday, 30 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

How about a side question: do you ever regret a thread/post you didn't make?

There's something I really wish I had wrote a while back, but since the time has passed now it would be stupid for me to post it.

Nicole, Monday, 30 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I keep wishing I had the nerve to post a thread called "FUCK ALL YALLS" and then list all the things that annoy me, but listen, I don't. It's terrible.

Ally, Monday, 30 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I would love to post that on ILM, but all it would generate is paragraphs of verbiage about why people hate things, and the process of learning to hate, etc. There's no fighting dull paragraphs.

Nicole, Monday, 30 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I should note that I'm not talking about y'all, just a handful of people that post on ILM.

Nicole, Monday, 30 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Everyone would take it so seriously. if more peopole had nasty senses of humor and/or didn't take the internet like seriously then it'd be great.

Ally, Monday, 30 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I think I just made one ...

Robin Carmody, Monday, 30 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

The Dixie Chicks thread I posted on ILM got by far the most negative reaction of anything I've written. Ah, fuck y'all, I still think the short one is cute. My ILM Introduce Yourselves post is lame and a half and I'm sometimes tempted to use my moderating privileges to change it. I once wrote something defensive on a thread that had mutated into "people who don't dance are idiots" that induced Ally to tear me a new one.

Patrick, Monday, 30 July 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

seven months pass...
I regret starting another "What do you regret?" thread when there was a perfectly good one over here.

Dan Perry, Thursday, 28 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I REGRET LOOKING AT THE THREAD TAHT CONTAINS MEN'S BUTTS NUDE AS A SUPERVISOR HAD JUST COME TO MY CUBLCE WIOTH NEW TRAINEES SHOWING THEM THE FLOOR.

Mike Hanle y, Thursday, 28 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

serves you right for keeping your monitor on the floor

mark s, Thursday, 28 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Were they impressed? Or did they giggle and whisper "Why is this insane man showing us the floor like it's something interesting?" behind his back?

N., Friday, 1 March 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Like they didn't think he was insane already...

Nicole, Friday, 1 March 2002 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I MEAN TEH FLOOR AS IN THE AREA WHERE THE CUBICLES ARE KEPT

kirti madam you're not a gag mrs thatcher eighty advantage and myspace (soref), Friday, 1 November 2013 21:38 (twelve years ago)

Hey I like everyone, there's only been one ilxor I've ever really had a problem with (and until tonight he was the only person I've ever fp'd) but in case you missed the threads c24151n is being hella fucking creepy tonight

Jesus (wins), Friday, 1 November 2013 22:01 (twelve years ago)

I saw Hexagon's post in the friendship thread after posting here, I not sure I really follow what he's talking about, but I often feel that way about a lot of people to be honest.

kirti madam you're not a gag mrs thatcher eighty advantage and myspace (soref), Friday, 1 November 2013 22:04 (twelve years ago)

Guys, stop it with the expectations.

I'm sure if you give it a while I will disappoint.

As Borges said, "pero yo mismo, si espero un rato, puedo ser también enemigo de mis opiniones".

c21m50nh3x460n, Friday, 1 November 2013 22:10 (twelve years ago)

Um, I just read some of tonight's Crimson Hexagon posts in other threads.

kirti madam you're not a gag mrs thatcher eighty advantage and myspace (soref), Friday, 1 November 2013 22:52 (twelve years ago)

welcome

Jesus (wins), Friday, 1 November 2013 22:53 (twelve years ago)

I still like him though, and I think people are a jerk to him a lot... I don't know, I don't really trust my own judgement in these situations.

I regret most of my posts, actually.

c21m50nh3x460n, Friday, 1 November 2013 23:30 (twelve years ago)

five years pass...

Absolutely vital and necessary post follows:

I regret having had that major meltdown around here ca. 2005 - 2006; I really should have put my foot down and sought therapy against my mom's wishes back then and taken some time off to take care of myself and the issues I was NOT taking care of at the time (including some unhealthy parts of my life I was keeping off the board). I feel like none of you who have gotten to know the true me via Facebook, truly know who I am and have this warped perception of me as I used to be. I am grateful to have stumbled onto this forum community, though, because it placated a lot of the more overwrought aspects of my online personality (though if you thought I was bad, you should've checked out some of the other people I interacted with online prior to ILX, most of whom were a good nine to ten years my senior) and exposed me to my first online encounters with intellectual discourse.

2005 - 2006? That was a long time ago. Most of the cells in your body have been regenerated several times over since then and most, if not all, of your dominant neural pathways have been altered. iow, if we love you at all, we love you for yourself, dee, not who 'you' were in the rapidly receding past.

You're a sweetheart, Aimless, but/ergo I feel like that whole post should come with a [citation needed] tag.
