This isn't going to be a gendered theory, is it?

― nabisco, Monday, 13 October 2008 20:55 (eighteen years ago)

I vote "cofmy" but I like it cold. My next-door colleague keeps a space-heater under her desk.

cofmy? Yeah.

No. Marxist, maybe.

I wear long-sleeved shirts every work day of the year.

My past offices have averaged as: too hot.

I far prefer too cold to too hot bcz it's not like you can show up in next-to-no-clothes to cool off, whereas bundlage tends to make for wicked acceptable office dress.

i have a song about this

― metametadata (n/a), Monday, 13 October 2008 21:44 (eighteen years ago)

It's a really, really, really awesome song.

― nabisco, Monday, 13 October 2008 21:50 (eighteen years ago)

I want to hear this song.

― Abbott, Monday, 13 October 2008 21:51 (eighteen years ago)

It's slightly too warm, but as autumn becomes winter it will be too cold.

― snoball, Monday, 13 October 2008 21:57 (eighteen years ago)

ok so it's only partially about this but track 5

― metametadata (n/a), Monday, 13 October 2008 22:12 (eighteen years ago)

Can't wait to find out what The Big Theory is.

Offices are generally kept too cold for comfort by The Man to keep the drones from getting lazy and dozy.

Insightful!

It's to extend the lives of all the computers I thought.

― Tracer Hand, Wednesday, 15 October 2008 15:45 (seventeen years ago)

The engineers like to turn the AC on all the time, everyone else just likes to bitch about that. Generally it's too cold.

Automatic thread bump. This poll's results are now in.

I work in a small shop without any heating and it gets bloody cold over the winter. Last year one of my workmates managed to pick up a chest infection largely due to the shop's winter conditions. I end up working in thermals and 5-6 layers of jumpers once it really gets cold and still never feel comfortable.

― krakow, Thursday, 16 October 2008 07:33 (seventeen years ago)

If ONLY it was too cold. It's waaaaay to hot in this office. I have to keep a fan on me ll day every day just to remain functioning. I hate this office sooo mich.

― The Wayward Johnny B, Thursday, 16 October 2008 08:41 (seventeen years ago)

― The Wayward Johnny B, Thursday, 16 October 2008 08:41 (seventeen years ago)

that's a pretty close set of results, enough to wammo your magic theory ?

― Ant Attack |=| (Ste), Thursday, 16 October 2008 08:42 (seventeen years ago)

Yeah, it looks bad. These kinds of results are super accurate and scientificistic, too.

― There is no Grodd but Mallah and Congorilla is His Prophet. (Oilyrags), Thursday, 16 October 2008 15:28 (seventeen years ago)

It's almost unbearably hot in the office day. Everyone has been trying to get the blinds down, but it's not really helping.

:-(

I think offices are usually too bloody hot because of sheer amount of technology in them throwing out heat constantly.

― post-apocalyptic time jazz (Masonic Boom), Thursday, 16 October 2008 15:45 (seventeen years ago)

our office is so huge and the people so varied it has no general temperature, it has pockets of randomness. Today I have been sat in the freezing cold whilst sitting next to a radiator on full, figure that one out.

― Ant Attack |=| (Ste), Thursday, 16 October 2008 15:57 (seventeen years ago)

I have no less than three thermometers in my office, so I KNOW that it's too cold. 58 (14C) degrees this AM!

― kate78, Thursday, 16 October 2008 16:13 (seventeen years ago)

Too cold today

― Ich Ber ein Binliner (Tom D.), Thursday, 16 October 2008 16:32 (seventeen years ago)

It's perfect here usually, but if ever I need a blast of cold, I can hit up the computer lab which is like a fridge.
