i tried to figure out Anand's win in the third match, Kramnik playing with white gave up, yet i didn't see a quick checkmate (he was on chess with only one option though, so obviously etc...) Someone point out a nice analysis please.

i did notice the string of D4 openings.

Should've put this one on the Subs board, shouldn't I? ;)

Have you seen this one (pdf)?

i tried to click that one, but got an empty page. seems to work, though, thanks :)

Kramnik takes game 5 as well, with black no less! Quite an impressive, daring win too.

Plus, yet another d4 opening. Crazy (old) times ey?

he's not gonna give this away. Interestingly, when i started playing chess it seemed playing with white was easier, but lately i've had easier wins playing with black. Now Anand wins playing black 2 times, maybe it IS easier. I found a nice program Chessbase Light, without it, those paper-only articles really fly over my head. (or whatever that's called)

Hmm, don't know which is easier. It's all about action and/or reaction I think, having a game-plan or relying on your opponent screwing up. I do think Anand winning with black two times in a row says something about him taking over the game at some point. He seems a bit more adventurous because of this; when it's time he'll attack, even when playing black.

Thanks for the tip on Chessbase Light, will try it out soon! (I only play Chessmaster Challenge, which has nothing to do with analysing games played in real life)
