delayed gratification

i've just started eating a cupcake that someone gave me about 5 hours ago, because i wanted to wait to have it with a cup of tea in the afternoon.

earlier i bought a steely dan cd i've been looking at in the shop for weeks, knowing i wanted it, but waiting (i guess) until i like *really* wanted it. looking fwd to playing it later!

how do you practise DG in your lives, friends?

I was going to wait until November to buy the 30 rock DVD (i.e. when it came out in the UK) but I couldn't wait. I am hopeless as DG which has led to enormous weight gain.
