A guy running for county commissioner here took a picture of our window

The chub Repub with the url of shortbaldhonest.com who is running for county commissioner here took a photo of the Obama signs in our window. The signs are from the primary so they say "OBAMA '08" and then in mall letters "vote Feb. 3rd." He thought we were trying to pull some hilarious tactic to confuse Democrats about when the election was so they'd miss it on Nov. 4 and wait until February to vote.

Pretty...sneaky? of us?

Abbott, Wednesday, 22 October 2008 01:15 (seventeen years ago)

Dude was laughing like hell at our crazy prank!

Abbott, Wednesday, 22 October 2008 01:16 (seventeen years ago)

And is he?

Ned Raggett, Wednesday, 22 October 2008 01:24 (seventeen years ago)

We can be fairly sure of the first two, I think.

Aimless, Wednesday, 22 October 2008 01:30 (seventeen years ago)

Well, he is short and bald, and he was honest about why he thought our signs were hilarious. He also asked permission to take a photo.

According to thes FLIER in the mail today, he is:

• FAMILY MAN
• US ARMY VETERAN
• INVENTOR with 5 US PATENTS
• Local BUSINESS OWNER, 21 years

And he has,,,,some....solutions?

"Space Port Tax – If other counties and private companies want to partner with us, should we go it alone? We need to consider options.

(formatted as in flier)

Abbott, Wednesday, 22 October 2008 01:34 (seventeen years ago)

What did he invent! The world must know!

Ned Raggett, Wednesday, 22 October 2008 01:35 (seventeen years ago)

"Served in many positions from Sunday School Teacher to Economic Advisor."

If I got this buy's resume, I would be embarrassed by its formatting.

Abbott, Wednesday, 22 October 2008 01:35 (seventeen years ago)

I'm guessing he is more short than he is bald and more bald than he is honest

Libcrypt you have made my evening. (Okay actually you come next in place to my quiet Christian coworker who zips around in a wheelchair who, tonight, said, "Damn you God! First you took away my legs, and now you're making me talk to Abbie!" Oh man I love that kid.)

What a fine login name I spy here on this very page (unless someone else has nabbed it first). Thanking you, Mr Short Bald Honest!

Local Tory councillor and her husband vaguely know my parents and seem to assume they vote for her, including angling to get them to deliver election window stickers to the surrounding streets.

They greeted me enthusiastically at the polling station once with a "hello Josephine". I'm not called Josephine.

...No, 'sall I've got.

Oh AND I forgot to mention the best part, which is that he was slowly zipping around on one of those skateboardy-handles sit down scooters.
