Temping in London

Seeing as there appears to be quite a London-centric bias on this board, tell me these things two: i) is it easy to get well-paid temp work (of an office nature) in London,
ii) and is it actually feasible to live in London on a temp's wage?
I'm sure it can be done... somehow.

Well I've been doing it for a year! Then again I am on an ongoing contract... the pay works out to equiv of 14kish p/a although my guts are SHRIEKING for a new job right now. My friend has just been sacked from her temp job here though (yikes I hope this doesn't happen to me) and the agency have told her there's not much about right now.. yikes.

1. Is it easy? Can you sell yourself? Temp rates general office admin 7-10 quid p/h, accounts assistant/PA 10-12 quid p/h when I was last in London 2. Richard-of course it can be done, but how far out?/how many people are you prepared to live with? 300 quid a week wont go far in Chelsea... Good Luck

I don't think he wants to go to Chelsea.

This is also urgent and key for me, as i'm officially without job as of next tuesday. i've registered with one agency, but they were saying it's pretty quiet, and they were looking for ppl with 50wpm+, rather than someone like me with loads of admin exp but only 40wpm. any ideas on other agencies gratefully received :)

TNT magazine, pick one up from outside most central London tube stations or go to tntmagazine.com, tons of agencies listed
