My old roommate was ticketed in our own driveway in San Diego because her car was "obstructing the sidewalk". It was really no more than half a foot on a section of sidewalk that was at least five feet wide. She spent the whole afternoon taking pictures of her parked car and writing letters and calling authorities, but ended up just paying the ticket.
