A BBC reflection on -- the mind boggles -- International Noise Awareness Day. Vaguely worthy for this says-it-all picture, I guess:

Twice today now!

Like I should talk about this article, though, I do have a low-level case of tinnitus.

Surely if things are really noisy it's better to try to ignore it rather than devoting a day to its awareness.

WILL YOU BASTARDS KEEP IT DOWN UP THERE!!!!!!!!!

Being a lovely fresh somer's day here in tropical Northern England, the locals are having charming picnics and afternoon tea on the grass outside, lovingly soundtracked by random Reggae, Creed, and fucking IDLEWILD. I have a bigger stereo than them, but am currently blasting out Chickfactor. What do I retaliate with?

Scary, since it's one affliction there's no cure for.

Wonder how many lengthy, useless studies were created to come up with the results...

Graham: There are certain sounds anyone just has to learn to live with. After all, you would create just as much noise blasting out your neighbour, as they did in the first place. Where does it stop?

Apples in Ster--oh!

Devo is good retaliation music.

Just recently, I've been playing music more quietly. I'm not sure why.
