I mean, none of it

I know a Yukon. She's a Husky bitch but she's hardly brutal.

Michael White, Monday, 27 October 2008 18:31 (seventeen years ago)

Umm, Prince Edward

nabisco, Monday, 27 October 2008 18:32 (seventeen years ago)

I mean, "Island" is a perfectly respectable last name, whether you're a real prince or just named after Prince

nabisco, Monday, 27 October 2008 18:33 (seventeen years ago)

No man is an island, though, nabisco

My earlier post got erased! What, did someone "suggest ban"? At any rate, I do work w/an Alberta already so it doesn't really seem too out there as a name.

The Cursed Return of the Dastardly Thermo Thinwall, Monday, 27 October 2008 18:49 (seventeen years ago)

Casuistry, Monday, 27 October 2008 20:39 (seventeen years ago)

i knew a guy in college whose nickname was skatch, but whose actual first name was sadly not saskatchewan

could totally see parents turning to brunswick once they get tired of madison or dakota

circles, Monday, 27 October 2008 21:26 (seventeen years ago)

Brunswick does sound better than Dakota.

Manitoba would be the worst due to the threat of legal action against you.

Paul in Santa Cruz, Monday, 3 November 2008 00:58 (seventeen years ago)

Alberta the province was named after one the daughters of Queen Victoria so no surprise it won!

I rep Ontario, which comes from the Huron word for "Great Lake."

skeletal lexing (Finefinemusic), Monday, 3 November 2008 01:47 (seventeen years ago)

Is Sarah Palin pregnant? Or is this for Bristol’s?

ha haha hahaa!

The Cursed Return of the Dastardly Thermo Thinwall, Monday, 3 November 2008 07:54 (seventeen years ago)

Nova Scotia is actually nice, except that it's two words. Yukon could be cool if you wanted your kid to have an unusual name, but perhaps I don't really understand that psychology and what names would appeal.

Maria, Monday, 3 November 2008 16:07 (seventeen years ago)

I never thought about it until this thread, but Québec would be kind of a pretty name for a girl.

Going by sound isn't always the best, though, like my sister who thinks Cicada would be a pretty name for a little girl. A far step up from HER friend, who thinks Areola would be a pretty name for a girl. My sister and I both had the exact same reaction, in unison, "Why don't you just name her Labia?"

rubisco (Abbott), Monday, 3 November 2008 16:14 (seventeen years ago)

Or my sister likes Kiedis for a little girl. Like her favorite crush guy, Anthony Kiedis. ;_;

rubisco (Abbott), Monday, 3 November 2008 16:14 (seventeen years ago)

haha! Quebec is so much safer!

Maria, Monday, 3 November 2008 16:15 (seventeen years ago)

I am always reminded of areola when I hear the name "Ariana"! Apologies to all Arianas out there.

skeletal lexing (Finefinemusic), Monday, 3 November 2008 16:54 (seventeen years ago)

rubisco (Abbott), Monday, 3 November 2008 19:57 (seventeen years ago)
