Related to the fame thread but achievement, not fame.
A lot of friends I went to college with have done well for themselves. One girl, who was very mousy and didn't impress me much, was a policy adviser in the Bush administration and had an office right next to the Oval Office. She has since become the director of a program in a prestigious public policy school and is often tapped to be a pundit.
I'm sure this will veer into envy, comparison etc. In the case of this girl I don't think it's envy as I wouldn't want to work for W. (maybe Clinton or Obama) but it makes me think, damn. I'm doing the same shit I was when we graduated and my peers are busting out.
