I've just realised that the picture on the NYLPM page is not actually a judge's wig...but really a halo of records!

What sudden shifts in perception have you had?

that sometimes i can tell what note i'm singing by the way it vibrates in my throat and the way it mixes with the other notes (i need both of these, one isn't enough as i'm not that good a musician). it's amazing!

In my life I've been amazed at people's reluctance to accept that kiwis w/skin on taste FAR BETTER. But, stoically, I've come to terms with it. Believe what you want to believe. No one's stopping you from peeling off most of the flavor.
