I voted. In a poll in a Melb newspaper for Obama v McCain. Obama was winning by like 96% last time I looked.

If you post here that you voted it is yr electronic I Voted sticker.

I didn't get a sticker, or coffee, or donuts. I did get a semi-broken machine and a few confused female workers (volunteers?) who had made some sort of mistake (something about 51 votes and only 50 pieces of paper), though another person told them to plow ahead, and fix it later.

I still have 40-something donut holes - anyone want some?

Please consider this thread as your ILX "I voted" button for this election.
I just dropped our ballots in a secure ballot drop box. Done and dusted. Now maybe we can kick that GOP interloper out our Congressional Rep seat and help the House to stop taking endless symbolic votes and start passing real legislation again.

Handed my ballot to a postal clerk on Friday. Checking the Montana electoral website, it hasn't been put into the system yet. If it hasn't been processed by Election Day I guess I'll have to go vote in person, as we really need to get rid of our piece of shit governor.

As one of the people who builds the lists of voters that are used by canvassers and callers, people who vote early are the best. They make our work so much easier.
I'll compare it to moving from one house to another: without early voters, its like you have to frantically pick up, sort, and pack every item all on the same day. Early voting allows that person to perform the moving process over the course of a few weeks. And each morning, y'all early voters are removed from our canvassing lists, which is like waking up to find that an entire drawer or cabinet magically got sorted and packed while you were asleep.
Thank you, early voters!

Voted on Friday, fairly busy but no big wait in supplemental Minneapolis location. Thanks to Naomi Kritzer for doing the homework on down-ballot races!

Dropped off last Monday in an official ballot box, confirmed counted last Wednesday, and so I wait.

My wife and I brought our mailed ballots in person to the city courthouse dropoff location 2 weeks ago because that felt most secure.

My sister voted in PA by way of the UK the day she got her overseas ballot. My VA-voting sister in law did the same from Australia. Both quickly received receipt confirmation.

Voted! Nice to see a line around the building at 11:45 in a pretty Hard-D district. Not so nice to hear some boomer in line talking ballot conspiracies. Great to vote against both Trump & Cruz for the third time.― Charlie Hair (C. Grisso/McCain), Wednesday, October 23, 2024 11:48 AM (forty-eight minutes ago) bookmarkflaglink

When I went to my PO box this morning to throw away all the election fliers, the old lady standing next to me at the table throwing away all her election fliers said, "I thought they were supposed to stop sending us all this crap if we already voted."

I voted in the council election. Socialist first, green nimby second, magical thinking executive coach third*, independent but liberal in disguise fourth.
*you can’t fix flash flooding by reverting the flood overlay map to the previous more benign one, you actually have to fix the drains. A whole ward collectively lying to our insurance companies is not a solution to inadequate infrastructure in a growing neighbourhood.

Voted in-person this morning, first day of early voting in NY. (Ballot was TWO pages, both sides, thanks to a load of ballot proposals Adams is trying to get through.)

Every election I use the drop-off box at the US Embassy to send my absentee ballot for federal MN5 races, and my ballot was accepted so one up for Harris/Walz, Amy Klobuchar and Ilhan Omar.
One aspect of this year’s vote that’s often forgotten is so many chuds including my mom actually died between 2020 and now. Finding out from my sister that my mom had actually gone to rallies (something my mom did not want to tell me, ever) did wonders for mopping up my grief. That’s how much I hate that guy!
