Except there's nothing scary about a glass eye at all. And someone can't hurt you with it - well, short of extracting it and throwing it at you. A hook can hurt you without hardly trying.

A hook arm is scarier but a glass eye is more interesting. Jesus, it sickens me just thinking about taking it out of the socket and cleaning it. I've never met anyone with a glass eye, or a hook.
