and what will you be doing?

jess, Saturday, 27 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I'm going to be touring Keith Caulfield through my fair city.

Michael Daddino, Saturday, 27 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I'll be DJing on groovetech.com -- subbing for a friend of mine... from noon to 2pm, Pacific Time.

Click on your continent/region (no worries, you don't have to buy anything, despite the odd wording)...

Then click on "Broadcasts" on the top there...

Then click on either link next to "Seattle" on the top left...

AAaagh! You fuckers will be able to see me spin.. live! Pervs!

(Heh heh.. anyway, expect to hear noisy weird tech-house and electro stuff)

Brian MacDonald, Saturday, 27 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

it's nearly sunday, we're ahead of you out here.

chris knox is playing. jane & christine & rich borrowed my car so they can go. i prefer to sit at home & do dumm shit on the internet.

unknown or illegal user, Saturday, 27 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I'm at work and looking totally bogus in a pair of lame-o glasses cause I fell asleep in my contact lenses last night.

N., Saturday, 27 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

no school today, so what you going to do, get out of bed, you sleepy head and something something something...

Ah the wide awake club...

Anyhoo, today, i am going to buy meg a birthday present, then going up primrose hill with some twee kids, then sitting in the pub, then sitting in another pub, busybusybusy

CarsmileSteve, Saturday, 27 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I'm going to put up the last 102 Beats That, then start cleaning and tidying the house up, and while I'm doing that I'm going to make a tape for Isabel to play in her car.

Tom, Saturday, 27 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

waah my new computer is deead!! they are picking it up on monday to take it away!! i am on my old ancient computer again whch can trust and i wuv (even tho it is useless)

it is full moon and my friends had a big horrible domestic last night right in front of me and i think by mistake i totally offended someone i really like and my plan is to put up the full uncut (but somewhat tweaked) lester bangs on sparks in stone lanes before or on 30 April, but i may fail *sigh*

mark s, Saturday, 27 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

i have just showered and am going to breakfast and finish midnight's children. then i'll watch popular, write a review of "freak like me" for the crappy imperial college magazine, listen to the new flaming lips album for the first time, finish my comments on mark s' punk piece, read the newspapers, and meet some friends in the pub at six where i will not get drunk. i hope. actually this is clearly not all going to happen...

toby, Saturday, 27 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I think I am going to go back to bed...as I have a cold and annoying mouth ulcer...and I think I have managed to piss some people of by wussing out of arrangements, I feel bad about that!

But...anyway...Have a good weekend ILE (sorry to be a cloud)!

jel --, Saturday, 27 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I'm going to a demonstration against Bush's war in Iraq and Sharon's war in Palestine.

DV, Saturday, 27 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I'm going to see carsmile steve, but try and avoid the twee kids as my hangover (not to mention Liverpool's capitulation to Spurs) precludes me from having any patience whatsoever.

Then I'll just get drunk again, same as ever.

chris, Saturday, 27 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Well, now that some moron has awoken me by ringing my buzzer so he could attempt to talk about the candidate he is campaigning for at 9AM on a Saturday morning--good luck finding someone to talk to, pal--I am going to go out and see if I can pick up a new jacket and some shoes. Then I am going to New York to hear Lebanese singer Marcel Khalife perform.

DeRayMi, Saturday, 27 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

back in bradford for the weekend again. trying to work out where i go from here...

gareth, Saturday, 27 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Working. All day. 'Til 9pm.

On the plus side I am planning on purchasing a new CD during my lunch break and get to spend my morning agonizing over what to get.

adam, Saturday, 27 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Visiting the Pleasuredome and A Day on the Playa installations here in NYC; hanging out with Lisa and our friend Christine (the agreement is that we will "make something"). In the evening, I'm going to the Gallery at the Passer-By to see Out Hud play on what's a reportedly a giant Jamaican-style sound system.

Douglas, Saturday, 27 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Not much, actually -- not a busy week, but I need to detox today! So aside from my next CTCL articles (new column, Melvins album reviews), I shall quietly ponder, maybe see what some friends are doing, catch up on some reading and listening.

Ned Raggett, Saturday, 27 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

The funny thing is, I don't really feel like going to New York at all. I bought this ticket a couple weeks ago, and I tried to call this week to cancel, but the World Music Institute phone was not in service. Normally I would make a day of it: walk around Manhattan, shop for CDs, maybe go to art galleries or museums, but today I'm more like, "Oh yeah, I've got to be in New York by 8PM" as if I go there all the time, when in fact I haven't been there for about 4 years. But I don't feel like pushing myself. Whatever: mektoub.

DeRayMi, Saturday, 27 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Work till six. Then catch up on sleep. I have been surviving on three hours a night way too many times lately. Maybe read more Roy Shuker and listen to Saints. Oh and upload article which features Triumph bra in my website. My mother's antique lace was used for it. Yay.

Nathalie, Saturday, 27 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I woke up at 4. Don't know how I slept so late. I'm going to go to McDonalds cos I'm too lazy to cook and my parents are away again. Then later on tonight I'm going to go to see Dave Angel in Tivoli and invite anyone I end up chatting to back to my house.

Ronan, Saturday, 27 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Today I failed to unblock the sink (It's blocked after the U- bend, eep); went to the launderette; went to see Laura to enquire of her Apples-In-Stereo fandom, but she wasn't in; bought the Sugababes single, and later will be off to see Queen Of The Damned.

Graham, Saturday, 27 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

graham get some "mr muscle", the gel in the orange bottle

it'll be soap and hair

mark s, Saturday, 27 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

After going to town to buy large quantities of nice food, I've sat around with a few friends playing board games, and taking it in turns to make coffee and play on the computer.

Maybe I'll venture out into the garden for half an hour later.

Oh I love lazy Saturdays.

celeste, Saturday, 27 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I've been helping clean; I've sorted laundry and started washing and am now in the process of sorting and putting away books, CDs, magazines and comic books. Whee. Tomorrow I have to go into work after singing at two Greek Orthodox church services. Sigh.

Dan Perry, Saturday, 27 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

it'll be soap and hair Soap? In a student house?

It's the kitchen sink, so it's probably mashed potato and pasta and cigbutts and aubergines.

Graham, Saturday, 27 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Watched my son (9) play football in the morning - they lost. Had a back massage (a friend gave me a gift voucher for this for my birthday 5 months ago and I've been trying to get round to it ever since). Went up to local secondhand record shop in the afternoon for ritual grey panthers talking bollocks session - spent £3.00 on two vinyl albums and a 12". Gave daughter (7) skipping 'lessons'. Sat in front of the snooker with a gin and tonic, and then cooked spanish style baked haddock for dinner. I'm about to crack open a beer or two, might pop down the booXor and back in time for the premiership. Textbook!

Dr. C, Saturday, 27 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Brian's DJ set is OFF DA HOOK!!!

Dan Perry, Saturday, 27 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Seconded. It's been good stuff, it has.

Ned Raggett, Saturday, 27 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Okay, now I have to get ready to go to a concert tonight. No idea what it is, but a friend of ours is singing in it. It's probably Hayden's "Creation".

Dan Perry, Saturday, 27 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Keith and I check out a local coffee shop to eat; then we walked across the Brooklyn Bridge and back, then wended our way through Chinatown, Little Italy, and Greenwich Village.

I think I'll go to Whitney Biennial tomorrow. It'll suck so fucking much but that's all part of its charm.

Michael Daddino, Saturday, 27 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I went and visited a college (SUNY Geneseo) and wasn't particularly impressed or repelled. I've got a lot of studying to do for tests and exams that I'm currently putting off. Tomorrow I will sleep late and then do that studying.

Maria, Saturday, 27 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

not, its sunday, and i'm hungover and sleep deprived. i'm avoiding an essay. again.

di, Saturday, 27 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

anthony, Saturday, 27 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I'm at home drunk, about to watch a video with a few ruffians and my bitch.......I been avoiding the net all week and I'm sorry.........um, I'm kind of totally in love right now.........evidence: 1. yesterday T was stoned and I was driving her car.....at gas station we decide to take it through the automatic carwash.......I leave the car in drive by accident (I was kind of stoned too) and the car just flies right through the wash while I'm panicking, in like less than 10 seconds......I slam on the brakes, see the washing mechanisms start up BEHIND ME, so I make mistake number two: I reverse the car, and I smash right into a set of rollers already locked in place, scuffing her bumper.....she was mad at me for about 30 seconds, tops....I don't even have to pay for her bumper.......2. an hour ago at another gas station I ask the guy "do you have any milk?".....he goes, "yeah, but only the small ones"......T goes, "that's perfect!.....it's for his BAILEY's!"......right then I wanted to punch her dead in the face for telling the whole store what kind of pussy ass drinks I drink, but i didn't.....she honeslyty had no idea.....priceless.....I love her......I love you guys too....youre all good people.....call me hector....hector sanchez.....see you tomorrow.....ONE.

Ramosi, Sunday, 28 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I didn't invite people back. I went places instead. It's now 3.18pm and I've just got home. I think that was the maddest night I've ever had.

Ronan, Sunday, 28 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

um, I'm kind of totally in love right now

Aw, sweet. :-) Within two weeks Ramosi will stop fronting and be revealed to be a cute and cuddly emo fan. Er, no, wait, that would be very wrong. Keep staying yourself, please!

Ned Raggett, Sunday, 28 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

three weeks pass...
have been lying around reading and listening to the xinlisupreme album. am about to do some situps, then have breakfast, shower, and settle down to an afternoon of studying semistable models of moduli spaces of elliptic curves. might go out to buy a newspaper but probably won't. key decision to make today: do i stay up late working/reading, or do i go to bed early in order to get up tomorrow and see the three colours trilogy at the curzon?

toby, Saturday, 25 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

i am going to start a new revolution.

cuba libre (nathalie), Saturday, 25 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I should be revising english literature from the 17th century, but instead I'm looking at record shops on the internet. Oh well. Later on I'm supposed to be going to a 'eurovision party'. I can't decide if this will be fun or not.

kathryn, Saturday, 25 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Wahey! Look at my post from a few weeks back. I'd forgotten.

I'm going to watch the ugly one from Groove Armada DJ this evening. This afternoon I'm going to mow the lawn and cook dinner. I'm a little sad because tonight will be my last night out in Dublin, specifically in Tivoli, for quite some time. I won't see my friend the support DJ all summer. I'll have to pay in to gigs. I won't be able to sit around town till the 4.30 nightbus comes along and get home when it's bright and sit in the park near my house talking rubbish.

I'll miss Dublin, and Saturday nights.

Ronan, Saturday, 25 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

yeah, but dude, you'll be able to come out and drink with us!!

chris, Saturday, 25 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

True. I may have found a place to live near Highbury, so I've to try and get a job working for the man now to ensure I have enough money for pints and for celebrating Irelands emergence as a team of 11 players.

Ronan, Saturday, 25 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

cool, handy for drinking all over town, I feel we may have to have a fancy a pint in the Stow one day, maybe in the very fine village pub.

chris, Saturday, 25 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

i will later go to housewarming partay yay, and i will try to read a lot this weekend. heres hoping anyway...

Ron, Saturday, 25 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I've just got the hardest day of the week over with. Aahhh

Matt, Saturday, 25 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I wrote all about preformance art , and hung arround at a gallery andwatched some and walked arround and partciapted in some.

anthony, Saturday, 25 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I've just spent 2 and a half hours doing washing up while. I was the first to complain ("Do some frickin' watching up you scum GRRRR"), so that kind of nominated me as the one to do it. I did get to dance around the kitchen to Lolly's Girls Just Wanna Haf FUNG 5 times though.

Graham, Saturday, 25 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

i had band practise, psychoatric pop ahoy!

di, Saturday, 25 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I had my fun.

Now I'm listening to Orbital and the CD is jumping and skipping and making all sorts of new sonic delights.

ksh, Sunday, 30 May 2010 02:31 (sixteen years ago)

worked/cleaned most of the day. thought i wld be hangin out with a friend tonight but her bf came too (i like him but yknow, then i was hanging w a couple on a saturday night...), saw part of a not-fully-realized in-situ dance show, ate a piece of cheap pizza and a decent ice cream cone (pistachio) for 'dinner' (was good), walked for a bit. started thinking out loud abt relationships, to which couple suggested okcupid etc. and i'm like sigh.

next saturday all i'm doing is listening to music & dancing, for real

planes/octaves/dimensions of existence (rrrobyn), Sunday, 30 May 2010 03:10 (sixteen years ago)

i would be very afraid of okcupid tbh. those people are all weird. i tried it. it was too creepy for me.

i worked. dogsitting. eating leftover pizza, kind of intensely thinking about this weird situation i'm in. eatin' cookies. listening to ennio morricone.

ian, Sunday, 30 May 2010 03:55 (sixteen years ago)

it was also too creepy for me!

cleaned. did one p90x video (lol). went for a terrible run. cleaned some more. made dinner. re-watched lost finale. now watching tv on the internet. dreading working all day tomorrow (wooh holiday weekend?).

tehresa, Sunday, 30 May 2010 04:04 (sixteen years ago)

Slept in, for me (10am). Rest of day k-lazy. Rare, but occasionally enjoyable.

Tomorrow: potato salad and sweet tea.

And some heavy gym-time; we skived out today.

the soul of the avocado escapes as soon as you open it (Laurel), Sunday, 30 May 2010 04:10 (sixteen years ago)

just saved an ebay search for "kentucky string ticklers"

ian, Sunday, 30 May 2010 04:15 (sixteen years ago)

this particular couple met on okcupid! i called them an anomaly.
i have no patience for creepy. i think, and prob this is the result of seeing some seriously top-notch art lately, i just realized i graduated from the amateur level of life not long ago but am still 50%-thinking like i'm not in fact a pro-level person. i feel a bit like jack donaghy saying that.

i can't quite believe laurel just said "heavy gym-time"

planes/octaves/dimensions of existence (rrrobyn), Sunday, 30 May 2010 04:16 (sixteen years ago)

It's a nice feeling to level up, so to speak.

ian, Sunday, 30 May 2010 04:18 (sixteen years ago)

i can't quite believe laurel just said "heavy gym-time"

also o_O over here!

tehresa, Sunday, 30 May 2010 04:20 (sixteen years ago)

I KNOW. I've never liked gyms but I do like being physically exhausted and since I haven't been dancing in 4-5 mos* and am not biking at all, the gym will have to do.

It's not as much fun as either of the above, sadly.

*Had a big, big falling out with former roommate and frequent dance partner; have stayed away from dance-type events for so long partly to avoid her, that now it seems like maybe too big a wall to climb over. ;_;

the soul of the avocado escapes as soon as you open it (Laurel), Sunday, 30 May 2010 04:21 (sixteen years ago)

oh laurel! i am missing ecsc and talcum so much. come down to dc and dance with me. i HATE that you are missing out on your nights bc of her!!!

i miss my gym.

tehresa, Sunday, 30 May 2010 04:23 (sixteen years ago)

nooo but you love dancing! the wall can be climbed, time is healing, you know other people there, etc

i wish gyms were as fun as dancing. they should make those gyms. but call them clubs. and only open them at night.

planes/octaves/dimensions of existence (rrrobyn), Sunday, 30 May 2010 04:30 (sixteen years ago)

i once overheard someone talking about a gym that had a friday night club theme. like they would put on loud music and fun lights for a club atmosphere?

ksh, Sunday, 6 June 2010 02:33 (sixteen years ago)
