Do any of those ILErs involved with this have a flyer they can email to me so I can print it out? Please? And does it really all finish at half ten like thisislondon.co.uk reckons?

DG, Sunday, 28 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

New helpful answers!

DG, Sunday, 28 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Yeah it does, seven to half-ten cos of the licensing, it's more a chill out sunday evening thing than a club proper I think. I have no flyer sorry.

Tom, Sunday, 28 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Ok, thanks.

DG, Sunday, 28 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

oh no! EMMA'S HAIR! oh nooo!

(It's quite nive actually)

"Thimbletronium", Sunday, 28 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

How'd it go then? (sorry i didn't make it)

Alan T, Monday, 29 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

it was pretty rockin' though that ECC geez is a mentalist. not many ppl turned up which was a shame, but it was made up for by the new dance craze what all the kids are doing: DANCING LIKE A DAD! and Emma's new hair is gooorrrrgeous.

katie, Monday, 29 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Emma's new hair - classic or dud? CLASSIC!

A good time was had by all. Whoever booked that comedy troupe and their slapstick ladder act was a genuis!

Tom, Monday, 29 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Emma's hair = classic. ECC = classic nuttah. Projection screen in shape of pants = not so sure.

RickyT, Monday, 29 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I enjoyed the professor from Back to the Future but then got rude about him due to booze. However, the night ended on a high with Since You've Been Gone by Rainbow in the other room.

Jonnie, Monday, 29 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Slapstick ladder act? Oi!

I'm going to be a fireman now I think. Rescuing giant pairs of pants from the rafters of trendy East London clubs whilst mad professors rap about foodstuffs using only their hands.

ECC = genius

Paul, Monday, 29 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

was it all hail the mighty 'babes for their "in with a bullet" legit bootleg? (Ain't it exciting! Tiga and Syntherius are at it this week, doing it for the nu-electro. come on pop eye)

Alan T, Monday, 29 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Pop Eye is in preparation. And yeah we played the official UK no.1 - probably the first time such a thing has happened in London's trendy 93Ft East (I like to think).

Tiga and Syntherius is rub.

Tom, Monday, 29 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I missed Since You've Been Gone?!?! *cries*

Due to Pauls last comment you will be aware that I will never be going to Strange Froot evvah again (ok well the June Brides go on then).

Sarah, Monday, 29 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

and i didn't realise that it was (Oxford based?) Shifty Disco that had seen fit to release that Wheels on the Bus thing. Now that's novelty - a 30 second interweb distraction becomes actual reckid. grr.

Tiga pronounced "tea grrr" is rub. Tiga pronounced TIGER is marv.

Alan T, Monday, 29 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I was going to come along but couldn't really afford it, it was going to cost me around £15 for a couple of hours (by the time I got there and everything cos people were mucking me around), I don't really have that kind of money.

DG, Monday, 29 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Don't worry Sarah: Mr ECC is unlikely to be at any Strange Fruit events for a while so you're safe. Except the June Brides night where he's their new bass player.

I need to find where I can get a thimbletron.

Paul, Monday, 29 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Forgot all about it, sorry. Damn that marijuana

dave q, Monday, 29 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

this might help you Paul

Jonnie, Monday, 29 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I think Paul is lying.

Sarah, Monday, 29 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

That link has brought back the ph34r. I couldn't sleep last night as I was afraid that I would have nightmares about Mr ECC.

Emma, Monday, 29 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

The accuracy of those photos is remarkable. The night was just like that whole website...

Paul, Monday, 29 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I'm going to have pork chops for tea tonight. Can't for the life of me think why.

Jonnie, Monday, 29 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Exclusive photo from last night...

Alan T, Monday, 29 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Evolution needs way more controlling I think

Alan T, Monday, 29 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Believe me, Alan, it was WAY scarier than that.

Emma, Monday, 29 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

And that was just her hair!

[excuse me]

Graham, Monday, 29 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I like to think that 'Tiga' is said 'teega'. And isn't it Zyntherius? Tho wot kind of name is vat for a chap to be avin? is it a chap?

alix, Monday, 29 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

HA, I just remembered that the Chris Morris club listing monologue from JAM includes DJ Boiled Mouse

Alan T, Monday, 29 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

My favourite quote from last night was "Ooooh, I love cabaret".

Jonnie, Monday, 29 April 2002 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

that made me spit my beer out! What an odd night that was, from the shock of Emma's hair, to the utter utter strangeness of seeing Christopher Lloyd's stranger brother play a thimbletron, to dancing with Hoxton trendies to Rainbow, that was one hell of a night.

Mr ECC will be a massive hit on the student circuit next year, mark my words.
