I thought this responding to crime and disorder stuff was what the police department was for to begin with. Wonder what non-CDRU members do... Although a crack squad of girl-brawl breaker-uppers sounds pretty cool too.

Girls brawl at Nightclub By IAN LYNCH EIGHT women aged between 19 and 25 were arrested following a brawl on the dance floor of Romford's Vivid and Elite nightclub last weekend. Officers from Havering police's crack Crime and Disorder Response Unit (CDRU) were called to the club, in Atlanta Boulevard, at 1.25am on Sunday following the fight, which left two women with head injuries. The pair were on the dance floor by the entrance to the ladies' toilet when a group of eight or 10 young women barged into them. When one of the women asked the group what they were doing, they turned on her, throwing several punches to her head before she could defend herself. The gang continued to shout insults and verbally abuse the woman before throwing a bottle at her head, causing a deep cut. Her friend then rushed in to help protect her and also received several blows to the head, causing a large lump. Club security staff intervened, giving first aid to both women, one aged 28 from Hornchurch and the other aged 21, from Dagenham, before police arrived. Both were taken to Oldchurch Hospital, Romford, for treatment, although their injuries were said not to be serious. Eight women aged between 19 and 25 from Barking, Ilford Dagenham and Romford, were all arrested and have been released on police bail until June. A Havering police spokesman said: "We have a number of statements from witnesses and are studying CCTV footage but we need to hear from anyone who saw the incident take place. "The arrests show the good work being carried out by the CDRU, which is becoming a well known resource in Havering. "During that week the unit made 32 arrests for a variety of crimes, including burglary, possession of drugs and carrying an offensive weapon. "Havering police recommend that if you do get into an altercation in a nightclub, tell security staff and do not try to sort the problem out yourself, as it could result in a fight taking place and serious injury." Anyone with information about the brawl should call Havering police on 01708 779134.
