On a related matter me and Mr Hopkins worked out that Wolves had done a similar deal with the crafty deviltwenty odd years ago to remain in the 1st Division. After all, only the Devil could have thought of the Premiership (and it generally only being won by teams who wear red).

...which reminds me of the time a few years ago when Plymouth football club were doing really badly and so the manager hit upon the idea of signing a demon. Fans and players were dubious at first, but their fears were allayed when the demon scored twice in his debut match for the club, the following match he scored a hat-trick and the in the next one he scored four goals.
The moral of the story being that demons are Argyle's best friend!
