Tell us tales of making meals of things that are not meant to be meals.

I have eaten popcorn for dinner many times.

Cookies for breakfast?

Thread title made me think of this classic

Sugar hiccup, Makes a pig soar and swoon (Pillbox), Friday, 14 November 2008 19:22 (seventeen years ago)

Popcorn is a perfectably acceptable meal.

A college student I know told me it's easy to live on a food budget of $25/week, and then a few minutes later talked about a recent dinner she'd had that consisted of splitting a bag of chocolate marshmallows with her roommate. Apart from cookies for breakfast, neither that nor the answers on this thread count as meals!

I always hear my internal warnings about the need for proper nutrition in the voice of Jiminy Cricket. Also, he has a riff on "temptation."

yesterday i ate half of a bosnian sweet roll while grocery shopping and two bites of venison jerky (when i got home) for lunch. it did not make me feel good about myself.

in the voice of Jiminy Cricket

I mis-read that as Jimmy Cricket...
"I want to tell you something... Come 'ere... You need to eat more fibre and cut down on sugar..."

I had never heard of Jimmy Cricket before that post, and I looked him up on youtube, and now I kind of want to back in time five minutes and forget that ever happened.

My habitual hungover-on-a-workday breakfast: a packet of hula hoops.

Now that's just crazy. Everybody knows cheesecake is for breakfast.

Perhaps one of the reasons I am not skinny is that I don't see those as meal substitutes, I see them as holdovers until meals or tasty snacks and desserts.
