No such word according to the OED, it does have 'pertussis' which is another name for whooping cough.

"tuss" could also be either from "tusse," the norwegian word for "troll" or from "tusen," middle english root meaning "tousled." and "per" and "ine" meaning "thoroughly" and "like or resembling" respectively.
"pertussitine" therefore means you is a rumplely troll doll, such as this here,

but srsly if it's from the whooping cough thing i'd think it generally meant something that was spasmodic or paroxysmal, but in a labored, strained, or strangulated way, maybe? or a gurgly honking?
