Literary rip-offs in soap operas/other trash TV - S/D

There is no C/D here because this is ALWAYS CLASSIC, and the more hamfisted the better. Eastenders has done this with Romeo and Juliet and (bits of) King Lear in recent years. They might be gearing up for Wuthering Heights at the moment, it's too early to tell.

I'm sure there are even more garish versions of this from the US and elsewhere, and I want to hear about them.
