Very staid it is, and I've grown bored of all the surfing and the memes and the flame wars and the people who blog and the whole dreary social networking and messaging bollocks. I miss the fens.

miss the days when an internet thing reaching usage in the real world instantly signaled its death, now it's the norm like i'm supposed to just alternate between these entirely different worlds, one awful, listening to humans speak into the air the same memes and stupid phrases they just got done retweeting for the zillionth time. what in the world happened in 2014-2016 when all the people my age up and decided that this suddenly wasn't embarrassing behavior. i'm not long for this world i die of shame every waking moment

social media blew up and now the world is infested with people who for some reason take pride of all things in the social media culture and that i think set off my disinterest in most real people, it's a real uphill slog for them

I am thankful I don't run in whatever circles you're in
Everybody I know who is on FB or Twitter acknowledges that they are necessary evils for interacting with family or as a professional requirement, respectively. Nobody acts the least bit proud of being on social media, that's for sure.

no one's proud of the platform they're proud of the vocabulary, the memes
if you've never encountered someone who says doggo in meatspace i'm a bit envious
