Um...what does this imply about your wife, Dan? Or rather, about you? ;-)

Well, I guess I qualify inadvertently, though I hang out with them because they're good friends above anything else. (And they're self proclaimed "gay guys who hate gay guys" anyway) Though the two closest just moved to the Bay Area within the last 4 months... so oh well.

I'm in this club too. It's not a lot of fun, but there it is.

I told this story already, didn't I? When we started dating, I discovered she'd dated something like 12 or 13 guys who turned out to be gay. This was also at the time when people thought I was gay, so when we started dating, some people said, "Well, that tears it; he sings choral music and is dating Joei. OBVIOUSLY he's gay."

Dan, girlfriend, just let them skeletons out, and you be all betta..
Of course, this never happens with straight folks.
She went through a period in life where she wanted to date guys who were "safe", ie guys with no sexual expectations. This made her a magnet for:
1) Guys who knew they were gay but didn't want to or weren't ready to come out.2) Guys who were gay but didn't realize it at the time.3) Gay men who were attracted to her strong personality more than they were attracted to her physically.
When she told me about this, I jokingly asked her if she'd ever gone out with this guy who lived in my dorm who was the most stereotypically gay man I knew on campus. She grimaced and said, "That didn't really count because it only lasted a couple of weeks." She didn't appreciate my laughter. (The funny thing is that we started dating while she was on the rebound from dating a guy who had come out the previous semester and was dating a man at the same time he was dating her.)
Hmmmmmm
"Who let the skeletons out? WOO! WOO-WOO!"
The funny thing is that we started dating while she was on the rebound from dating a guy who had come out the previous semester and was dating a man at the same time he was dating her.
Has it ever occurred to you that you're living in a Pirandello play, as translated by Terence McNally (or is that Bruce LaBruce?)?
you know...when you hate the person and use sex as punishment? i'm not the only one, am i?
Er, a friend of mine was on the 'receiving' end of this a few months back, so this joke isn't funny anymore, it's too close to home, etc.
Well, how do you feel about Pirandello, authorial intent and gay porn?
And do I get to wear a funny hat?
The correct pronounciation of the term is 'jimmy hat.'
