rainy, Friday, 3 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I always thought it was this mythical creation. They do sound good.

Ned Raggett, Friday, 3 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

specially when made with the ground up flesh of Jimmy Dean.

rainy, Friday, 3 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Josh, Friday, 3 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

rainy, Friday, 3 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

mike hanle y, Saturday, 4 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I bought a tin of 'All Day Breakfast' for ATP. One bit of the breakfast was meatballs w/ little bits of fried egg inside - truly guts-churning.

Andrew L, Saturday, 4 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

mike is OTM!

jel --, Saturday, 4 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

scotch eggs, pork pies, pickles, cheese and mustard.

jel --, Saturday, 4 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

mark s, Saturday, 4 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

When I have scotch eggs I can only have the meat and breadcrumb surround. I hate eggs.

Lady Space Pilot, Saturday, 4 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

You should eat eggs.

N., Saturday, 4 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

But she hates eggs. Have you heard cutie archive girl likes cruel men or something?

Graham, Saturday, 4 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

maybe we can have them when we go to brighton

anthony, Saturday, 4 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

otm?

mike hanle y, Saturday, 4 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

On the money.

Ned Raggett, Saturday, 4 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Noooo, god no. In our canteen they do vegetarian scotch eggs: the egg is lovingly wrapped in melted down, shapeable cheese, then hand rolled in sawdust. What kind of sick mind came up with this aberration?

Ellie, Sunday, 5 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

slightly off topic (and i think i've mentioned it before (certainly in the pub)), but there was this one curry house in Cheltenham that did this thing called a Nargus (sp?) Kebab, which was basically a scotch egg, but with minced spicy lamb instead of sausagemeat, and it was completely nummy. has anyone else ever heard of this??

CarsmileSteve, Sunday, 5 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Now with lamb... thats what im into man

Chupa-Cabras, Sunday, 5 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

at one time, I was getting free scotch eggs from Bowyers because every box I bought from the Co-op had something wrong with it. I think the first couple of times there were fragments of shell on the eggs. Off went the snotty letters to Bowyers and back came the vouchers for free scotch eggs. Then there were the scotch eggs with just a mass of mixed up yolk and white in them rather than the complete hard boiled egg which should have been there.

MarkH, Tuesday, 7 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Those are 'picnic eggs' Mark - shun them.

Tom, Tuesday, 7 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

SAVOURY BARS!!!!

Pete, Tuesday, 7 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

YEUCH!

RickyT, Tuesday, 7 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

SAVOURY BEARS

N., Tuesday, 7 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Pete you do not even like savoury bars enough to pay for them.

Tom, Tuesday, 7 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Pete STOLE a savoury bar from a B2 shop once cos he is a thieving git. He claims he was drunk then on Saturday told me that drunkenness was no defence in the eyes of the law so if anyone knows a policeman would they head round to arrest him right now please?

Emma, Tuesday, 7 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Barnet Ape in savoury snack burglarization shockah!

RickyT, Tuesday, 7 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I was just seeing if I still had the skillz. I feel bad about it. Though everything in that late night shop is massively over priced.

Pete, Tuesday, 7 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

All the stuff in every late night shop is heinously over priced

RickyT, Tuesday, 7 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Oh I see so stealing cos you are drunk is not acceptable but stealing cos the goods are overpriced is OK? It's not even as if you were the Robin Hood of north London as you stole from the rich but did you give the savoury bar to the poor? I don't think so. Talk about double standards.

Emma, Tuesday, 7 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Our nearest 24 hour garages are only 24 hours for PETROL. This is vvv bad they could easily go and get us some novelty sammiches, scotch egg and pringles but they are smelly and grumpy gitZoR. Haf not tried the shops further on down the round for 24hr avaliability because I am lazy.

Sarah, Tuesday, 7 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I tried to hand myself in to the police the week after but they told me off for wasting police time. Apaprently it is not a crime if it has not been reported.

Kids, don't go down my route. I was young and foolish and now look at me.

Pete, Tuesday, 7 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

He is old and foolish. Ha ha.

Emma, Tuesday, 7 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Did not know that such a thing existed. I'm going to Waitrose.

Eyeball Kicks, Thursday, 6 September 2012 13:02 (twelve years ago)

love this revive

Know how Roo feel (LocalGarda), Thursday, 6 September 2012 13:07 (twelve years ago)

I successfully negotiated the unhealthy thing by plonking it on a bed of rocket. Green stuff solves all, iirc.

There is a guy who goes round a few of the trendy markets (I saw him at brockley) and does amazing scotch eggs in diff permutations (black pudding, chorizo etc). He's on twitter as "egg boss" I think. Recommend.

sktsh, Thursday, 6 September 2012 14:57 (twelve years ago)

yeah he does a smoked haddock one too

there's also a girl who does difft scotch eggs at chatsworth rd mkt - the black pudding one is def my fav right now

refuse to consider them unhealthy, meat + eggs = PROTEIN

lex pretend, Thursday, 6 September 2012 14:59 (twelve years ago)

I can get on board with that kind of thinking!

(Smoked Haddock sounds like a smash hit)

sktsh, Thursday, 6 September 2012 15:08 (twelve years ago)

they do smoked haddock at the deli downstairs by victoria park too, think they're about 4 quid or some shit though.
