Ally C, Saturday, 4 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

no. because i said so.

di, Saturday, 4 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Oh thank goodness.

Ally C, Saturday, 4 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Flirting = a gift of the heavens.

Ned Raggett, Saturday, 4 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

do not! wink as much as possible each and every day

Ron, Sunday, 5 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

If you are in complete love with someone, don't flirt. Why would you? I do not see the purpose.

S., Sunday, 5 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Ha Ha. Answer this last one then, Mr Cook.

David, Sunday, 5 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

If you are in complete love with someone and can have them, maybe. I am in complete love with everyone yet can only limit myself to one special fwiend, hence FLIRTING. Um....yes.

Ally C, Sunday, 5 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Pah even if in complete love with someone a good flirt seems essential for a laugh. I mean I flirt with my gay friends as much as the girls I know. It's all in good fun.

Ronan, Sunday, 5 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Oh yeah I flirt with gay friends too, didn't think of that. In that case it must be less about wanting people and more about wanting them to want you. No, scratch all of this. It's just FUN.

Ally C, Sunday, 5 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I agree - STOP FLIRTING. CUT IT OUT. YOU ARE HARASSING ME WITH FLIRTING!

Mandee, Sunday, 5 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Flirting is great. I do it with lots of people. I do it very little at work, because these people don't know me well and may be disturbed or upset, but I do it loads with friends.

Martin Skidmore, Monday, 6 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

TART.

Dan Perry, Monday, 6 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I can't flirt. Every time I do, I get taken seriously. (In RL, that is--I do it online all the time with no problems.)

Christine "Green Leafy Dragon" Indigo, Monday, 6 May 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

two years pass...
elevators - INAPPROPRIATE FOR FLIRTING

gabbneb (gabbneb), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 02:12 (twenty-one years ago)

farting as well.

cutty (mcutt), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 02:21 (twenty-one years ago)

I punched my husband in the groin. Once you get married, this is what passes for flirting.

papa november (papa november), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 02:22 (twenty-one years ago)

Cutty, look, I'm just going to say it once... Stop.. flirting with me. I like you. I know you like me. But.. this is where it ends, ok?

donut christ (donut), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 02:22 (twenty-one years ago)

FINE THEN!

(wink)

cutty (mcutt), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 02:24 (twenty-one years ago)

Sigh. Maybe we should just be friends. And trust me, I'm very flattered.

(touches groin)

donut christ (donut), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 02:25 (twenty-one years ago)

i've (relatively recently) lost the ability to flirt :(((

gem (trisk), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 02:33 (twenty-one years ago)

i never knew how.

caitlin oh no (caitxa1), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 02:36 (twenty-one years ago)

Don't worry caitlin, I'll teach you. (wink)

Johnney B (Johnney B), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 09:44 (twenty-one years ago)

ooh johnney boy, you are a one!

Marcello Carlin, Tuesday, 11 January 2005 09:49 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm going through a weird phase of flirting with some of my straight male friends far more than any women or gay men I know. I have no idea why this is but it appears to be rubbing off on other people around me MENTIONING NO NAMES.

I presume that this is because its the easiest, most anxiety-free form of flirting on both sides but at the same time can it really be called flirting if there's not even the faintest prospect of anything really happening?

Matt DC (Matt DC), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 09:52 (twenty-one years ago)

I ONLY engage in flirting if there's no chance of anything happening, so I don't think you can get off on that one.

Johnney B (Johnney B), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 09:59 (twenty-one years ago)

hi dere johnney b!

[crotch stare]

caitlin oh no (caitxa1), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 13:46 (twenty-one years ago)

Matt, you left your watch...

Stevem On X (blueski), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 14:01 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm going through a weird phase of flirting with some of my straight male friends far more than any women or gay men I know.

No shit? Really? Never have guessed...

Anna (Anna), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 14:16 (twenty-one years ago)

perhaps I should avoid London this weekend

Ronan (Ronan), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 14:20 (twenty-one years ago)

were you planning to come over, foxy?

Stevem On X (blueski), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 14:22 (twenty-one years ago)

well, I am currently trying to "jump through a number of hoops" and "remove several monkeys from my back" in order to be able to go London, where my entire family will be this weekend for some reason.

they are willing to pay for me but I need to get work off which may be tricky and also do a 3000 word essay on the relationship between media technology and society over the 20th century, by Friday.

I am in Barcelona the weekend after next so work might be awkard, that said, maybe I can do a day or two this week, but then that makes the essay a more pressure intensive situation.

I'll be sure and let you all know.

Ronan (Ronan), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 14:26 (twenty-one years ago)

alot of pytos there.

Ronan (Ronan), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 14:27 (twenty-one years ago)

Why have I only just discovered this thread?

Madchen (Madchen), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 14:29 (twenty-one years ago)

Matt, it's Mark, isn't it.

jill schoelen is the queen of my dreams! (Homosexual II), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 14:36 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh caitlin, you're incorrigible!

FLirting is a good thing all round - why some people are less than keen is beyond me.

Johnney B (Johnney B), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 14:52 (twenty-one years ago)

Er, crushing embarrasment?

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 14:52 (twenty-one years ago)

I suppose so - it's all about intro/extrovert, I guess.

Johnney B (Johnney B), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 15:05 (twenty-one years ago)

I think Mark is the originator of this particular method of flirting. Its all his fault. Actually the people I was referring to are **** and ******.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 15:11 (twenty-one years ago)

hmm, it appears to have taken me approx 1 nanosecond to work out who **** and ****** could be, although ****** could be one of three...

CarsmileSteve (CarsmileSteve), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 15:17 (twenty-one years ago)

The six-star name in Matt's post is not me, btw. Oh, how I wish *long meaningful sigh*.

Captain GRRRios' Giggletits (Barima), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 15:18 (twenty-one years ago)

TS: flirting vs. fucking

peter smith (plsmith), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 15:34 (twenty-one years ago)

Flirting when you mean it is rubbish; flirting when there's no chances of anything happening and you're not really all that interested is The Way Forward.

(I have a really bad habit of flirting with bored record store boys on the grounds that it would do them good to think that someone's interested.)

xpost o poor Barima! Matt, you CRUEL MAN.

cis (cis), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 15:34 (twenty-one years ago)

"We think you're cool, Homer Simpson."
"Sandra, that was mean."

Matt DC (Matt DC), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 15:40 (twenty-one years ago)

(oh fuck, the record store boy thing came out harsher than I intended. it enlivens their day!, I meant. everyone likes to feel randomly liked!)

cis (cis), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 15:43 (twenty-one years ago)

Flirting when there's no chances of anything happening and you're not really all that interested is The Way Forward.

What about when you're both flirting and only one of you (me, usually, haha) knows nothing's gonna happen?

(yes, we do)

Captain GRRRios' Giggletits (Barima), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 15:44 (twenty-one years ago)

damn, so any girl who ever flirted with me at work was just trying to enliven my day.

I HAVE RECORDS FOR THAT OK!

Ronan (Ronan), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 15:44 (twenty-one years ago)

girls are for the night

Ronan (Ronan), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 15:45 (twenty-one years ago)

and maybe sunday afternoons

Ronan (Ronan), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 15:45 (twenty-one years ago)

Maybe you could combine the two and record the sound of a cute dancefloor pixie girl mentioning coquettishly how much she likes guys who know their music, then get it remixed by Jacques Lu Cont.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 15:55 (twenty-one years ago)

Rylo - 'Enjoy Rock'n'Roll' (Paper Faces Cute Dancefloor Pixie Girl Remix)

Captain GRRRios' Giggletits (Barima), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 15:59 (twenty-one years ago)

Paper Faces is too techy for that, that would definitely be a "Thin White Duke" mix.

Ro-nerd (Ronan), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 16:07 (twenty-one years ago)

What a bizarre thread to have revived.

Ally C (Ally C), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 21:29 (twenty-one years ago)

Have you stopped flirting yet, Ally?

jill schoelen is the queen of my dreams! (Homosexual II), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 21:37 (twenty-one years ago)

Mandee, you are the living end.

Ally C (Ally C), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 21:42 (twenty-one years ago)

your living end.

RJG (RJG), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 22:10 (twenty-one years ago)

your the living end, I meant.

RJG (RJG), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 22:13 (twenty-one years ago)

Yes, mine.

Ally C (Ally C), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 22:15 (twenty-one years ago)

You are still flirting, Ally!

jill schoelen is the queen of my dreams! (Homosexual II), Tuesday, 11 January 2005 22:35 (twenty-one years ago)

You guys are, like, hot
