I recently received almost $2000 worth of Apple software - what should I do with it?

Final Cut Studio 2
Logic Studio
Aperture 2

All of them are "not for resale" versions, so apparently they can't be upgraded later on. I'll probably keep Aperture 2, but the other two are way too large and I have no use for them.

I may try and sell it, but I'd also be willing to give it away to a worthy cause (like a school or training program). Any suggestions?

a school might have trouble using that because that license would only let them put it on one computer (they'd buy a volume license instead). you might want to try auctioning on ebay and donating the money to the program, or give it to any charity you want and let them do the auction for you.

Apple doesn't sell site licenses for Final Cut (and maybe Logic Studio too), so schools have to buy individual copies. Good thoughts though. Thanks.

biggest problem with officially donating them is that i don't think you can legally give them to anyone (which means any school won't take them, or at least they would have to do it on the sly).

I would be careful with trying to unload them on eBay too... NFR sales are generally a no-no

donate all of them to a local school with the appropriate hardware in place. Call around and find out if there's a community college, state school, whatever that might be able to use the licenses; find someone who just ponied up for a great machine and is waiting on the tools?

If MINOTAUR is right, though, maybe you should call Apple back and ask to make sure. If he IS right, I dunno, complain about it, because WTF.
