Which shall I get for Christmas?
The iPod is of course an iPod and comes with all the accessories and ease of use and all this and all that. It has longer battery life and perfect gapless playback, and works with the iTunes store (which is entirely irrelevant for me).
The Zune, on the other hand--which has come a v long way since its debut, has a spiffy FM tuner, a bigger screen for video, and seems well-suited for apps and games and stuff. Its battery life is sliightly shorter, and its gapless playback isn't perfect yet (seems to have a bit of trouble with VBR mp3's encoded with LAME, but the developers are working on it).
They're both the same price, and both have A/V out so you can basically carry all your music AND movies on it. Neither play FLAC or OGG (boo!), and Rockbox won't work with the new iPods yet and won't for a while. Which should I get?

Actually had a Zune for a little while, and liked a lot of things about it. Lack of gapless playback as a massive fail imo tho. Hopefully they've fixed that.
