I have decided a summer alone in Dublin while all my friends are away is not much fun. I posted this on twelve foot lizards also but I need to know what my best option of getting somewhere to stay in London would be? I suppose on my own is preferable, since I'm scared of ending up with some lunatic. I can stay with my brother for a while but there's only so long before it becomes unfair.

I was thinking perhaps I can get student accomodation for the summer or something. Does anyone know what kind of price range I'd have to pay for a livable place. I mean a place I can eat and sleep in to be honest.

I also need to know what kind of crappy job I could get, one that would pay the rent for a livable place? Is it possible?

I'd really appreciate any ideas or info......

You should revive this thread tomorrow, Ronan, when the Londoners are back at work.

This should give you a rough idea of prices for University accommodation in London rented commercially in the summer months (if that's wnat you meant): this is not a recommendation, just the first thing I found on the interweb that wasn't for 4+ persons sharing.

I'm just reviving this, feel free to get annoyed as I imagine it's not so exciting a thread for many of you.
